John Carpenter Wants a Dead Space Movie

Event Horizon & Ghost Ship already got this covered no need to make ANOTHER crappy video game adaptation...
 
This would be awesome. But so would a video game based on "They Live". They Live is one of the best movies of all time.

And by "ready made", Hollywood means it will not be hard to take the Dead Space name and change the movie so that it stars a girl with a time traveling dog fighting dinosaurs during the civil war. I mean, that's all basically the same.

As long as you put "Based on the game Dead Space" somewhere on the poster, you're good to go.
 
If we draft a pre-emptive restraining order to keep Uwe Boll away from the screenplay, perhaps.
 
What has John Carpenter done within the last 2 decades that was even good?

I was going to say the same thing but there are distinct differences. Mainly the difference in what is scary. Sam Neill was basically the devil straight-up and that was it. Dead Space is more like mutated humans being scary. So I think a Dead Space movie would be different enough to be interesting.
