So here is what I need help with...
I have a triple monitor arm, with two more more screens above that. The problem I see with most home office desks is that they do not really accommodate this kind of large workstation setup. I gave away my old desk and have actually been using a generic folding table from Home Depot while trying to find new office furniture. Most of what I find is either the old lawyer desk style furniture (overly ornamental wood scroll work and etc), which doesn't work well with all these monitors (nor is my style), desks which are very utility looking, or for student type of uses. I am looking for a modern design, for a nice house (large home office). Solid woods, glass, and metal are preferred (no cheap laminated stuff or Ikea stuff). Having said all that, who can point me to a good store for such furnishings in the Dallas area? Cost should be within 2 to 3 thousand (or less or more depending on how much I like it) for the desk and/or desk plus surrounding piece/s. Places in north Dallas near the tollway (the few contemporary stores over there) are overpriced and anyway can't accommodate this kind of workstation setup. I am stuck here and need to finish building out this office, help!

I wouldn't discount all of Ikea's stuff -- their Galant series has been quite solid, have a clean look, and I've had up to four monitor arms attached without any issue. Searching through this forum for "galant" should give you some threads with pics.

Hmm, somehow I missed that series while searching through the menus at the Ikea web site. I will have a look (even though I don't like veneer), as it appears that I can customize those.

I am still interested in other stores in the area though.

First you need to set aside a budget of $10k. Once you've done this, bump the thread.

On the real though, how does your triple monitor stand mount to the desk or does it? If it's a free standing stand with a large base, size of the base? How high are all your monitors? How wide are all the monitors?
