[hot] NBA 2k13 for $9.99 on Amazon

i haven't played 2k12, but *most* reviewers/players say it is better. i'm getting it primarily because i want to play with college teams and there are mods for NCAA teams on nba 2k13. There have not been any NCAA hoops games released on any platform since EA's "NCAA Basketball 2010" and 2kSports' "College Hoops 2k8". fwiw, there are a ton of mods for the pc version of NBA 2k13, and official updates are released weekly to provide roster and stats updates.
 
The player models area downgrade from 2K11. WTF happened.
I'll keep looking at gameplay but I'm getting close to passing on this.
 
If you're playing it for single player then its great. However, there is no option to play with friends on this game. Online had noone for this reason. I think its an awful game and youre better sticking to 2k12 if you already have it

I've spent countless hours on 2k12, mainly wanted this one for the new rookie class. May have to play with the NCAA mods also.

I've spent over 60 hours on NBA2k13. Game is phenominal if you only play single player and willing to use mods. Otherwise, its half-assed at best. The gameplay is solid, the graphics suck (where mods come in).
 
It's worth $10. I've been playing these games since 2k8 and I buy them year after year even though they continue to be a disappointment. Sucks when they have no competition.
 
It's been a while since I played a NBA2K game, so I guess I'll give this one a shot (seems like a good deal for $10).

I hope not or else more games will have the entire soundtrack featuring Jay-Z, Coldplay and Kanye West.He can stick to sports games though.

MyPlayer (and all other online stuff) is garbage in the PC version anyway. And MyPlayer account is not DRM. When you start the game for the first time, set the birthday so that it makes you under 13. Then it will never ask you again, but you can't access online modes. You can still get all updates via the web and put them on a USB stick for installation.

I agree, its dumb. The only downside to the method I gave you is that you won't get any shoe updates, court updates, etc.; however, you can get the files from any modding site the day they release. The great thing about the method is that your mods won't be overwritten every time an online update is released.
