ive been playing alot of games lately that really Tax the GPU's @ 4320x900 resolution. Every game ive been running @ medium/high @ 100%. I would like to keep the same settings just not tax my GPU as much. and/or more head room. Getting another 660ti down the road is very possibly in a year or 2.

current Rig:
i5-3570k @ 4.7ghz @ 1.36v
2x 4gb 1600 vengence black
asus p8z77-LK mobo
2x 150gb Raptors in raid 0.
SLI 560 non ti 2gb
4320x900 (3x19inch)

After i sell the 560's ill be looking at adding 80-100 bucks for the 660TI

and also How will this now work? do i hook 2 up DVI and 1 using a DVI to HDMI cable? since i dont have 3 DVI ports.

nice, but do you think its worth it going from SLI 560 2gb non ti to 660ti 3gb?

fooshnik, where did you find that info? would save me alot of question asking. Just noticed that 7950's are even cheaper then 660ti's. (restricted to 4x6 pins, so i dont want a 8pin) 3gb is required for my set up

3DMark has a database of all their tests. Just make sure the CPUs are the same.

Some people get in the mid 11000s with a single 7950 so that would be a noticeable improvement for about $270, or less if you sell the games.

1 powerful gpu > 2 less powerful gpus ever if they combined exceed a single gpu.

hell the 670 could score 8000 and the two 560s score 10000 and i'd still go for the 670. Because with a single gpu thats the performance you will ALWAYS get, with the 560s thats the performance you get in the BEST case scenario.

I always had problems with my 4870x2, I know it's an older dual gpu card, but doesn't FF14 have problems with dual cards?

Sli is completely broken atm for FFXIV:ARR benchmark or otherwise.

the benchmark is sorta GPU limited to an extent but not horribly and really likes a balance if you overclock both cpu and gpu it seems to scale ok

here is a chart of the 560 (non- ti) compared to the 660ti:

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/543?vs=647#

look at the 2560x1600 ones to get a better idea of your multi-monitor performance and keep in mind that the nonti versions are really underpowered versus newer midrange models so without proper SLI helping , a nwer midrange card should walk all over a 560.

Others might bring up the fact that for the money, the 7950 is a better replacement over a 660ti, but depending on your displays inputs and on drivers a 660ti might be simpler overall

im selling both my 560's for around 260, i already have a buyer. I think ill try to scoop up a 7950. the 3gb should help too
