Which kind of storage lasts longer? Ssds (flash), hdds, optical, something else? Will we ever have some kind of torage that lasts forever?

Hmmm odd dumb question... spamming?

Probably the least volatile over time would be flash memory used for backup only and stored in a safe place.

Nothing lasts forever... not even those crystal things in Stargate SG1.

It is basically an inherent property of information to aim for equilibrium, meaning the state where all information is "lost". The best you can do is to include some redundancy and regularly refresh it and copy it to new media.
"Forever" is a really long time. Maybe you can reduce that to more realistic levels?

This.

At my old workplace we created/maintained a library of archival recordings, that bureacratically speaking are "supposed" to last as long as the institution...and the closest to "forever" that our bosses were willing to pay for was 50-year archive rated Taiyo Yuden CDRs.
