Good news Jailbreakers!!!! Untethered 6.1 soon

Have finally gotten my account information over but still not able to successfully download anything. This is the first untethered JB for Post A5 devices since what 5.1.1? So yeah the servers are getting slammed. Happy to be updated though and getting everything working again I can wait for all my tools a few days.

Jailbroken iPhone 5 iOS 6.1; installed MyWi, SBsettings, OpenSSH; fixed Weather App script and changed default password (SSH via PuTTy); my iPhone 5 is now complete!

EDIT: WiFi tether is buggy, but USB and Bluetooth working like a charm with my Nexus 7. Remember, pair your tablet, but connect it later via the tablet and not the iPhone otherwise it will want to delete it as a incompatible device. I wish they would make "On Demand" for Android.

How did you fix the weather app?

Phew being on stock iOS for less than 24 hours was horrible! Most of my apps are up to date. Can't wait until next week when MC Controls pro should be updated along with Superswitcher. Sadly Iconoclasm won't be updated until March :( I'm just glad everything else that I have has been updated and works great! Well I guess except Weather, but I use Weather.com app anyway.

24 hours, try not having a jail broken iPhone since the 5 was released. I still don't understand why they still don't have anything like SBsetting in the stock iOS.

Anyone tried iOS 6.1 + jailbreak on a 4S? I've got mine running 5.1.1 w/jailbreak. It's set up exactly as I want, so I'm a bit reluctant to upgrade to 6.1 even with the new jailbreak.

Anyone using Quasar on iOS 6.x yet? It crashes sometimes on 5.1.1, just curious if performance is worse or better with iOS 6. I use this all day every day and won't update if it negatively affects its function.

I'm pretty sure it's been updated for 6.1, but haven't used it since 5.1.1 when I had my old iPad3

I remember the 1 months I had my 4S without jailbreak horrid.

Everything works fine on jailbreak just make sure the tweaks you use are updated.

Heads up, incarcer (phone locking Cyda app) is causing my 4S to get stuck in safe mode and eventually stuck in recovery mode.

Ouch! That surely sux! I'll just stick with my 4S as it is until my tax refund is deposited and I can buy an unlocked 5.

Or buy a locked iPhone 5 made before Jan 1st 2013 and have Chronic unlock it for you for $20 (thought it was $30).

EDIT: Don't see anything listed on his website about a manufacture date, so donno if it matters.

All this hassle is seriously making me consider Android.

jailbreak....tweak....iOS upgrade....wait for new jailbreak....jailbreak...tweak...iOS upgrade.....etc.....

And Android is better with Carrier/Manufacturer specific flavors (rooting, encrypted kernels, vanilla and custom flavors that require injecting the play store or might be buggy), short support lives, low CPU and Memory cheap phones. I personally have a iPhone 5 and a Nexus 7 (best of both worlds).

I totally agree. It's just too bad that I don't like any Android phone out there. Anyways have a jailbreak on an older OS though isn't too big of a hassle considering developers can usually add in missing features. As for android I don't want a phablet.

It's the same deal with Android, actually in some cases obtaining root on your phone is dependent on what phone you have and what revision of Android you have on that phone.

I am so glad that I can load my own themes now.

All I need is gridlock and then I am set.

OK, should have waited before saying this, but the Browser chooser doesnt work. Hopefully that is fixed soon.

I jailbroke my iPhone 4S with 6.1 and it seems to run okay. Two things I've noticed:

1) It seems to "reboot" multiple times before it actually starts up. Takes about 4 times longer to fully boot.

2) Cydia is on there, but it will not run. It won't even start. The screen 'expands' like it will, then falls right back to the main screen liked it crashed.

Is #1 the way it is supposed to be? What about #2? Is Cydia borked?

Can anyone recommend some awesome tweaks/apps that is not on every single youtube video?

It's so hard to find something worth while.

Good news is that there is a new LockInfo compatible with iOS6.
Bad news is that apparently it stinks big time and many users are ditching it.

Ugh!

i just noticed 6.1 was available on my un-jailbroken 4S (currently running 6.0.1)

is it best to upgrade to 6.1 and then perform evasion JB?
