Just have the CPU looped atm. Ambient temp is hot as the AC is off but the weather is muggy.

2600k @ 4.9 1.37v HT disabled
Temps mid 60's Prime small FTT
Not sure if I am happy although the temps are 20-22c cooler compared to my previous air cooler. I think I will be able to get sub 60 with an appropriate ambient temp.

Also used AS5 and could probably get 1-2 less C with MX-4.

The fluid is frothy white although its clearing up a bit. No big bubbles. Probably should have used distilled.

Pump / Res --> Rad --> CPU

Fans sucking in room air onto Rad. Rad mounted up top in HAF X

Any thoughts?

Up to 1.385v @5ghz. Guess this is a pretty good chip. Temps havent hit 70 yet and I'm sweating in my room.

I would love to see if that voltage/speed/heat combo is stable under IBT or LinPack with the latest binaries installed..Prime95 doesn't heat current CPUs anywhere near as much as they do..Also, when using IBT/LP, make sure you are stressing ALL of your memory..

So many people post "OMG'z Killa 5.1Ghz OC air yo" and then when they are called out to produce a screen shot, they post IBT running on "standard" which uses 1 GB of ram, hardly stressing the system:rolleyes:..

It would be so awesome if you could keep your temps even in the low 70s when using IBT/LP to test, because once you know it is stable there, then you will never heat the cpu up that hot doing anything else, so there would be no need to worry about temps a bit higher..

P.S., Please don't think I am hating, I just would love to see a golden OC like you seem to be working on with one of those two stress benchmarks!;)

I was under the impression Hyper threading generated more heat and could effect stability and possibly require more voltage? At 5+Ghz I figured turning it off would be advantageous. I also dont think anything I do actually uses hyperthreading save for maybe extracting archives. Mostly gaming and modded Oblivion seems to need just about as much raw clocks as you can feed it.

Really depends on the ambient. Cool fall air and temps with IBT max out at 58-60C. Normal temps 70c. I sen the idle temps as low as 20c when it was kinda chilly.

I agree with distilled only and as your system bleeds your temps will improve. I need 1.404V to be stable at 5GHz, so looks great so far, but do check stability in IBT. Having a shifty CPU causes more problems than a few degrees C saved off load temps.
