Marvel Heroes Closed Beta Starts October 1st

Marvel is looking for a few more citizen heroes to test out Marvel Heroes in a closed Beta starting on October 1st. If you are interested in becoming a Beta tester for Marvel, amble on over to their website and join up for some MMORPG fun.
 
Signed up to try anyways. Bold claim that it's a spiritual successor to diablo 2.
 
I've been pretty excited for this, but it does leave a lot to be desired in the graphics dept. Hopefully it plays better than it looks. I can't handle much more disappointmemt from the arpg genre *cough* diablo 3 *cough* and grim dawn is still a ways off.

Looks like total ass. With all the talent at Marvel you think they could have managed something more than an export from Poser.

Free2Play sucks because you really know it will be "Pay2Win."

to the "this looks like crap, weaksauce' morons it in fracking beta all games look like sh!t in that stage. get a fracking clue... and there nothing wrong with F2P...

Is this based on the clicky plastic toy game? Kinda seems like it the way they're talking about "collecting" the superheroes. The animation looks alot like the models too. I signed up because I'm a fan and curious but lots of questions to be answered here. And if they make microtransactions mandatory....
 
It's going to be diablo 3 with super heroes. If you check some of the longer gameplay videos that include commentary it will make more sense.

Sorry, I mean to say "Diablo with super heroes". Saying Diablo 3 probably implies all sorts of positive and negative things.
 
you mean you and everyone else on the world can play as wolverine? DC had it right where you can play as your own SH in the DC world.

Ummm no, beta means the visual aspects are finished, there's no major additions to be added, it's all about bug finding, and perhaps tweaking of the interface/game mechanics.
