Due to unforeseen circumstances (my AC coil blew out and I needed it fixed in a hurry), I had to raise some cash quick and the first thing I could think of that sold in a hurry was my previous video card. That leaves my desktop without a working video card, especially since my spare backup video card seems to have disappeared.

What I do have is a nice lightly used HP DM1z laptop with 8gb ram, 100gb HDD, Win7 Home Premium and all the rest of the goodies that I really don't use much anymore. My desktop is just for more usable for the programming, writing and gaming I do. Battery life is good and it's pretty capable for being a little thing. It's awesome for travelling, great for watching videos (Radeon 6310 in it does hardware decode) and good for some light gaming too.

I'd like to trade this for a decent GPU. I'm hoping for a 7950 or NVidia equivalent, preferably with 2 to 3GB or more vram (multi-display 1440p displays will be my next upgrade after some house updates).

Any questions, feel free to ask. Heatware under SunnyD

Top 'o da morning.

Preferably looking for AMD 7-series or nvidia gtx500/600 series. But keep the offers coming anyway.

I have an EVGA GTX 580 I'm not using.....what are the full system specs and what shape is it in?

Specs:

12" form factor
AMD E350 "Fusion" 1.6GHz Dual Core APU
Integrated Radeon 6310 GPU
8GB DDR3 RAM
100GB 7200rpm 8mb cache SATA HDD
802.11 b/g/n wifi
Integrated Webcam /w Mic
1366x768 display
Battery & AC adapter
Windows 7 Home Premium (COA Affixed + Recovery Media)

Condition = babied. A couple fingerprints here and there, but nothing permanent. Screen is in flawless condition. It could probably benefit from putting in a decent sized SSD in it, but honestly I never had any issues with it. I used it more for portability/travel which I really am not doing anymore. The GPU supports hardware decode which makes it nice for watching movies, plus it's capable of doing some light gaming too. I "successfully" played Star Wars: The Old Republic on it, which for me was acceptable in certain areas (not for running around fleet, but under more lightly populated areas) on minimum settings. Other than that, I really most used it to remote desktop into my machines at home from work or on the road. Unfortunately, for the kind of programming I do (heavy 3D graphics among other things), it's not quite up to the task.

I'll try to get a couple of pics later - it's my son's 13th birthday today so I'm just checking and bumping right now.

Well it appears I'm not able to upload pictures to my host for some reason today. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

I wish I could plug the crickets into my empty PCIe slot.

I'd be willing to even up with a little bit of cash now that my AC is fixed ($815 later). Of course now my wife tells me the orthodontist wants $2300 on TOP of our insurance for my son's braces... by next month.

Bump for some craigslist interest. But we all know that means potentially shipping to Nigeria, but hey at least it means I get to keep an extra $400 for my troubles, right?
