Life-Size LEGO Forest Springs Up Overnight

Thats a trip!

Had to look at the pictures real carefully before noticing the trees and stuff aren't CGI.

Sure does look "fake" :p
 
Wonder how many studs I would get if I punched the trees a few times...
 
At least they didn't put on the ground some Lego blocks spread all over the place. We all know stepping on one of them is the most painful thing to happen to a human being.
 
I'm confused, are the trees and flowers actually made out of LEGOs, or are they just made to look like LEGO trees and flowers? Cool either way.
 
the texture of the flower pedals on the second screenshot on that site looks like it made of wood?
 
I wonder its possible to make a building in the shape of that tree... i think that would be cool!
 
I took my kid to legoland earlier this year and let me tell you, this 'forest' is purely amateur.

I believe they are just large replicas of Lego pieces, not made from thousands of individual Legos.
