If you're a member of Playstation Plus, I would check out the PSN store. You can snag Just Cause 2, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, Saints Row 2, Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light, Infamous 2, Little Big Planet 2, and many others for free. They really went all out this month!:eek:

That's some good shit for free tho. Should sell a game or two I have to pay for this since I already have one of them now that I can replace for free
 
Just 'buy' them and don't download. Then grab them one at a time as you play.
 
I havent tried plus yet but you can do that on free games? I think im gonna try it out and order it tomorrow for a year. For $50 a year ill get my moneys worth compared to xbox live which doesn't offer you shit.

Yeah. You keep the free games as long as you have a Plus subscription.
 
So its basically a $50 per year rental agreement lol. That's cool with me because there seems to be good games they give away or (rent). Its pretty cool to be able to play a different game whenever and not have to mess with a disc in or out.

It's pretty cool, i got it for next to nothing as a reward for my sony card. 1 or 2 free games everything month is great, along with the automatic updates you can schedule for 4am. No more waiting forever for games to update before i can play them.


Took at least 45 minutes to install Just Cause 2 though... it really shouldn't take that long.
 
So i keep the free games playstation plus gives as long as i stay a member?

I believe they'll be free all month so yeah. Just make sure to "buy" them before the month is up. It is a bit like a rental but it's new free games every month and some really good discounts on games too that you do get to keep if you cancel your sub.

Yes they are up right now, you have to keep your ps-plus subscription to keep the games though.


Some of the games for previous months have been on the store for longer than a month.
 
I ended up letting mine lapse a few months ago. Getting random discounts ("DLC outfits are $3.41 instead of $4!") never really justified having it. The one nice thing about it was cloud saving, which was great when my PS3 died.

They have a ton of discounts each month. Lots of PSN, PS1 games, DLC and more. Right now you can get many GOTY edition for 50% with PS+.
 
I've always been confused about games you actually buy on sale as a Plus member.

Say for instance that a game is 50% off for Plus members, and you buy it. Do you lose it if you don't renew your subscription? This is the biggest thing with me not being a Plus member. If I buy something, I want to own it. I understand and am fine with the monthly free games.
 
Im getting it soon as I go home tonight then im selling little big planet to cover my 3 month sub.

I'm almost positive any game/dlc you pay for you get too keep. Its only the free stuff you lose access too.

Well I purchased a 3 month subscription today and cued up all the free shit for download tonight, you'd have to be pretty stupid not to jump on this. From the original posted games you get the new edition of VF5, Choplifter, R&C all 4 one, Hard corps, and 2 other indie games besides the ones op listed.
 
I paid for my 3 month today also. $6 a month isn't shit to pay for this that's 1 pack of cigarettes a month less ill smoke now to get free stuff. Hell a 5 day rental at the game store has to be $5. Right now was good enough for me to buy psn plus. Its easily over $100 worth of ps3 games that are pretty damn good.

I only have a 120gb ps3 so ill download them as I play them. Lbp2 and R&C are staying on my drive full time for the kids tho.

A 3 month sub would almost pay for just the price of one of those games. I may have to buy a 3 month or a year just for Ratchet and Clank All 4 One and Infamous 2...

Yup, $18.00 for a 3 month card, then I'll pick up a 12 month before it expires. Sony was smart to do this because I have never had that much interest in going Plus... till now.

They've been doing the free games thing for a while it's just never been really heavily mentioned and it hasn't been this many big ones at once. I wonder if Sony will continue it into their next console.
 
Too many good titles to pass on the plus service this month. I've talked a lot of people into going plus this month. Its definitely worth getting just for this months free games. Hopefully they keep dishing out decent free games, there is a bunch I have missed out on with the ps3.
 
Can anybody tell me how to view the list of content I have purchased on my account? I'm stuck with a 60gb model that has about 20gb left. I know where the transaction list is(in account management), but it doesn't really show what games I currently own/can download on the PSN Store.

Should be in that area, everything you purchased will have a red ps bag next to it.
Also Space Marines has really good online play.

If they would extend this to have Vita and PSP freebies and discounts, I would be in definitely. As it is, I am on the fence.

If you don't own or haven't played the free ps3 games on there then getting psn plus is a must. Good quality titles on there for free this month.
 
Im very glad I got my plus sub this month. The only hard copy I own is mw3. Played just cause 2 for 30 minutes and its a pretty good game. I really like infamous 2, that will keep me busy for a while. I played the original SR and liked it so SR 2 should be pretty awesome when I get into it. My daughter loves LBP2 and R&C All for 1. Damn good list of free games this month. I don't like the other games on there but Hell I got 5 free games that I really do like.

Does anyone know when they update the list?
 
Just a heads up. Bought 3 month sub and went to download ratchet & clank. The game is 14gb and estimated time to completion is 2100 minutes.

I am on wireless that usually speed tests around 25/10. This is just pathetic.

I did Infamous 2 (15gb) yeasterday in 600 minutes........through my mobile phone!!
 
Oh snap, tomorrow some of the stuff gets removed? I haven't touched my PS3 in weeks. I'm gonna go and "download" them so they stick in my list as I'm not gonna bother to actually dl like 20gb+ per game!
 
If you buy a full game like Infamous 2 for example and Plus expires, is that still yours to keep?

If you "buy" something, it's yours forever. I used a free month to get a good deal on a few games with the PS+ sale bonus. After the month was over, I can still play the games just fine like I bought them normally.

PS3 wireless is broken, i recommend never using it.

I know. I gave it a bit then switched to wired. The wireless works great for netflix and mlb.tv though. Those stream in HD nearly 100% of the time.
