My friend has a Lenovo desktop dual core Pentium standard system with on board video. We were looking to upgrade his video while keeping the sock psu. the psu has about 225w on the 12v line.

Our budget is under 100 and card must have hdmi. What do u guys recommend under this circumatance? Can we get somethingdecent?

Will a 440 work? I dont think it needs any power connector.

What expansion slots does he have in that machine. Can you supply a model # or something for us to go off of. Make sure the thing even has a pcie slot as some systems don't even have that.

The problem is that the "225W" psu is probably not even 225 watts. You're not gonna have a lot of wiggle room there.

Yeah it goes have.pcie
225w on the 12v line not total power. I imagone that will pr

What do you intend to use the PC for? If it's for the HDMI output, and just doing 1080p video, you could pick up a Radeon 5450 or 6450 fairly inexpensively. Should run fine with the PSU, but just don't expect much gaming performance.
