Sup guys, looking to buy a great desktop for my friend. He has about 1k to spend (Not spending it all would be nice but if necessary he will). Looking for Intel ONLY. (We can pickup if you are in NYC or near surrounding areas) Please PM me with specs and price.

(He mainly wants the comp to be able to play MW3, League of Legends, CSS and High settings)

1 Last thing, if you have an SSD, that would be a PLUS, but not necessary. Anyways Post here or PM me, Thanks!!!

EDIT: Also willing to take a Mobo + CPU + Ram combo that is Intel (i5 or i7)

EDIT2: PLEASE, stop sending me prices close to retail. I have eyes and can see Ivy bridge will be out in a few weeks so lets get realistic and send me REALISTIC offers. Thanks!

Lol just wait for ivy bridge, not sure what you're friend is thinking.

That's what I told him but he wants like this comp asap.. -_- (If anything I might just sell him my bundle and I'll by Ivy Bridge ;)

asap is not Ivy bridge. selling yours sounds like a plan! I dont have a wholesale price guide, so around retail with no labor to build, is as close as we are prob going to get. Build him 1 yourself using your free labor and wholesale cost parts. realistic enough for ya? LOL

That's what I was planning on doing since the beginning but I thought maybe someone would have a deal going on here since Ivy is around the corner, guess I thought wrong.

If you bought new parts the day you posted this, you'd be configuring the desktop TODAY. $1,000 is a lot for a gaming PC or "Amazing". You can do a lot, and depending on his use, $1000 is more than suffice, guranteed. If I had $1000 to build a PC, I wouldn't be on the forums looking for parts.

Yeah I've seen that. I could get a GREAT mobo + cpu combo for under 400 at MC. Just wanted to see if i was able to get a "STEAL" like I did on my own desktop years ago when 920 first came out :p

I would think anybody reading these forums has the ability to piece together the handful of components it takes to build a desktop PC. I see great deals here every day on one or two generation old components. With just a little patience, you should be able to put together a great system for well below the cost of new.

There's not a lot of reason for most people to sell a complete desktop made up of the latest and greatest components. Occasionally you'll trip over someone needing to sell a system to pay the rent, but deals like that are fairly scarce. More often, those people will be upgrading their systems piecemeal - a video card, a faster CPU, a new motherboard...

"realistic" doesnt always equal "Steal" I guess......

It doesn't in reality but when people offer you a 2500k + Gigabyte GA-Z68A for 350 (when you KNOW you can get a 2600k + Asus P8Z68-V PRO for under 400 EASILY at MC) ... you know something is wrong.

Also JJohnson, I'm just going to tell him to wait till Ivy Bridge, hopefully I get a better deal there. For now I will close this thread so I can open a new WTB, but if anyone has something, feel free to PM me.
