Great drives. I have 2 of the 64gb versions in raid 0 and they just smoke everything. Plus these ones have even faster write speeds.
 
Between this drive and the Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240gb, which would you recommend?

I looked at the Samsung recently, but the price steered me more toward the Mushkin. But now with the Samsung on sale, it looks quite good

If you're referring to the Chronos Deluxe, which uses 2xnm asynchronous nand, the Samsung is much better.
If you're referring to the Enhanced Chronos Deluxe, which uses 3xnm Toggle nand (same as Vertex 3 MI), it goes something like this - http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Prod...6.267.268.269.270.271.82.272.83.85.86.273.274

I'd pick the Samsung over both, for a variety of reasons :)

As you said, I've learned not to bother looking at the asynchronous drives as they are inferior and usually only a few dollars cheaper than their synchronous/toggle NAND counterpart.

As I said, I was leaning toward the Mushkin (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226226) due to price, but I may have to get the Samsung. Thanks for the headsup.

1gb reads. I love my Raid 0 setup with the 64gb drives
 
I was planning on waiting to pick this up in a few months when I do an IB build.

I keep getting to the point of clicking checkout and then I back out...
 
Sweet, still in stock at the Sacramento Frys. Picking it up tomorrow.

Looks like I got the last one there. That's always a scary thought with Frys. Here's hoping for the best.

Dont worry there are two models, one is notebook and one is desktop, only difference is one comes with the game and ghost and one only comes with norton ghost.

When I left work today we had 6 of one and 1 of the other. I don't know which one though. They were both the same price.

Thanks. I noticed the two part numbers after I posted that. As of this morning it's actually saying both are available. Going to head over there about 8:30. Hopefully will have my pickup email by then.

The heck. Online inventory shows both in stock at the sac and Roseville stores but when I call them I'm told it's sold out? :(
 
Got the OOS email for the Desktop kit at the Sacramento store this morning. Based on what the guy above said about them having several of the Laptop kit drives in stock I drove over there and sure enough was able to buy one.

Be sure to check both part numbers when you call. Numbers are in the OP.

Update: I got the Batman Arkham game codes in the ones I picked up today!

Does anybody know how to find out when these drives were manufactured?
 
Back in stock, and the deal is active again

I ordered mine on Sunday night, and it got here today including a code for Batman AC.

I'm kinda glad it did for my sake. This is totally unrelated to the thread, but I just got a Samsung Epic 4G touch, and it's making me want everything I own to be Samsung rofl.

I know the feeling. Having an awesome set of Samsung memory that OCs like woah and now this awesome ssd, I've a good feeling going w/ Samsung. Let's hope it lasts.

Neither. You go to samsung's site and can get a separate downloaded to install the game or you can download individual bin files and an exe to install. I've downloaded them but haven't Installed them yet due to reinstalling windows on my new 830.
