What exactly are the extra cores for? does it justify the extra cash? thanks!

Is this thread for real?

What are the extra cores for? LOL

that's like asking "what does the extra horsepower on that car do?"

Are you stupid enough that you can't realize for yourself more shaders = more power?

Thank dipshit, I guess the real question is, is the extra 90$ justifiable or is it just a stupid market ploy to sell you a gpu + batman game.

Well, the GTX 560 Ti 448 is pretty close the the GTX 570.

Can you wait another week or so, and see how much the HD 7950 will cost? According to benches, it outperforms the GTX 580 out of the box, and is bound to cost only 299$.

how about looking at reviews and determining that for yourself?

Wow... It's brutal in here. Hanguk probably won't ask another question ever again...

lol, well maybe he will learn to use google and look at reviews first instead of asking silly questions.

If he got Maximum PC mag. he would have known because they did a review on it. I was actually pretty impressed with the 560 448.

7950 will definitely not cost 300. Think more along the lines of $450-500 for the 3gb and $400-450 for the 1.5gb (if the 1.5gb is even launched right away with the 3gb 7950s.)

I heard $399 for the 7970, didn't specify 1.5 or 3GB model though. I'd say $399 for the 1.5 and $450 for the 3GB. Idk but if they put it too close to the price of the 7970 one of the two will fall short in sales. There's really no justification to purchasing an Nvidia card right now unless they start dropping their prices tremendously. 580's need to drop about 50-75 bucks, IMO. If they don't I imagine the first quarter of the year will be pretty bland in their desktop gfx card sales.

This isn't Futuremark Quad, don't be an ass. Oh and nice logic! The 7970 is $549 and the 7950 is $299??? :D Also supposedly outperforms a GTX580, at that price.?? LOL. Try initial volumes at $399-449. Till Kepler gets here.
