Hey homies!
Ive had this crappy intel stock cooler for my i7 870 for far too long, and now that BF3 is coming theres not reason not to upgrade!

current specs are:
i7 870 stock speeds/stock cooler
asus sabertooth 55i
8gb gskill ram
evga geforce 460 gtx SC 1gb
temps usually go as high as 80c on my cpu.

At first i had the coolermaster hyper 212+ in mind (cheap/compatible/good reviews) untill i talked to a friend with experience who pointed me torwards the Cooler Master Hyper N520, for 30$ at tiger direct it seems like a great deal for a good cooler.

Ive got no experience with aftermarket coolers and am afraid of ordering something that wont be compatible or wont fit =/

Its hard to tell from pics what direction the n520 mounts to get a good size estimate.
Anyone have any idea if ill have trouble getting the n520 to fit?
Anyone got any other suggestions?
Im looking to spend $30-50 on an air cooler.

thanks!

Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is recommended a lot so have a look at that. Just go with what will fit and is in the suitable price range...

how so?
Bigger isnt better? 2 fans not better than 1?

It's not so much bigger is better. It's more about more heat pipes sometimes.

and with the fans it depends on the speed. A delta fan that runs at 5,000 RPM will be better than two fans running at 2,000 RPM. Probably a bad example but yer. You get the idea

the N520 is a 92mm 2 fan heatsink vs the hyper 212+ which is 120mm. its not bigger nor is the air flow superior.. 48CFM vs 76CFM on the hyper 212+.

look for the [H] review of the N 520 it's the better cooler, but the mounting system sucks.
