60% Off DND Games at GoG

lol my friend just bought 2 of those games for full price yesterday

This the same promo mentioned in a previous post from earlier today or a new one? I don't keep up with their site much anymore.

Purchased all of these already earlier today for my massive GOG library. <3 GOG

I own almost all those games on cd already...but I love them so much I almost want to buy them again!

LMAO I totally feel your pain. I'm in the same boat (may buy the same batch for the G/F too while I'm at it)

Can anyone tell me if these games come with their expansion packs? For example, does the BG2 Complete come with Throne of Bhaal?

It probably says it somewhere in the links for each game, but I can't tell. I'm really tired right now, lol. Anyway, if they do come with the expansions, I'm definitely picking up these titles.

EDIT: Don't anyone say anything at all... I'm an idiot, I know it. Yes, I found it and they do come with the xpacs.

Any chance any of these games would look decent on a 27" 1080p screen? I tried playing Diablo 2 a few weeks ago and it just looked too bad to play. Maybe it would be okay on my X220's 12.5" screen.

Diablo 2 has a widescreen mod as well as all infinity engine games (bg1/2 icewind dale 1/2)

I've spent the past 4 hours playing the original Deus Ex (with kentie's recommended mod suite of course) and Planescape Torment on my sig 52" -- looks great to me.

You're talking about D2MultiRes, which was a hack for 1.12 (current is 1.13), and was bannable on battle.net. It's pointless to use now unless you want to patch down and not play online.

It's really a shame though Blizzard doesn't implement it themselves. They don't even have proper scaling in Warcraft 3 either.

Is GoG like Steam where you can redownload a previous purchase numerous times for things like a system upgrade w/fresh OS install, multiple computers, etc? I only ask because I don't feel like clicking around on their site to answer it for myself...

You do not deserve to use GOG if you can't take 10 seconds to figure out what makes it great.

Well its good that DND games are offline then lol ^^

Yeah, well whatever. 3 kids, a lot of housework, and I'm posting via cellphone since I haven't had the time this weekend to turn my PC on... Thanks for answering my question, though. Extremely helpful!

So what? Sounds like you have the exact same daily that I do. What's stopping you from taking 10 seconds to read a few lines on the About page? I'll quote the answer for you since your time is more important than mine.

3. You buy it, you keep it.

Don't let your DRMs turn into nightmares (clever, no?). You won't find any intrusive copy protection in our games; we hate draconian DRM schemes just as much as you do, so at GOG.com you don't just buy the game, you actually own it. Once you download a game, you can install it on any PC and re-download it whenever you want, as many times as you need, and you can play it without an internet connection.

edit: and I feel obligated to point out that you could have answered your own question easier than you could have wrote the post where you asked someone to find out for you. Doubly true if you were posting from a cell phone.

Man, too bad I don't have spare funds available, I've NEVER played Planescape Torment unfortunately.

I highly doubt you have about the same daily as I do. You're putting a lot of assumption in there based on a generalized foundation of comparison.

And no, it's easier to type this out on cell than it is to use the tiny screen to go poking around on a website I have never been to. 6+ yrs of using this forum means I'd likely be able to nav around here on my wife's ipod nano touch like a champ if it were internet capable.

From one long-timer [H] user to another: thank you for posting the answer to my question. Much appreciated.

My point was merely that you seemed to be making a lot of effort to avoid making a little effort... and no problem. :)
