Picked up a refurb by MS 360 at Gamestop, have to say im digging it, Gonna pick up Darksiders after playing the demo, also Tried Warhammer Kill Team which is pretty sweet. Im gonna pick up Warhammer 40k Space Marines which looks sick. Any RPG recommendations that take awhile not this 15-30 hour to beat stuff, im mean one that would take maybe 60+ hours? Oh yeah one other question, i see that if you get a HDD case you could put your own 250GB hdd in it and just use HDDHACKR and flash it to work with the 360, is there any risk to getting the console banned for doing this?

Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Oblivion, Mass Effect 1 & 2...all these should take you awhile.

And yes, there is a chance you can get banned. Since a new update is schedule for later this month (23rd maybe?), you might not want to download it when it's released.

Also I hope your refurb last longer than my co-workers. I guess you get what you pay for.

If you don't have it for the PC, grab the first Dragon Age and the Awakenings expansion. The console versions are definitely easier and tweaked down a bit, but are still excellent.
Kinsaras covered the others I've enjoyed.

I'm different than the others -- I liked the Dragon Ages and the Mass Effects... but I *LOVED* Blue Dragon. It's cheap, and if you complete the game 100%, it should easily put you in the 40-50 hour timetable, maybe even longer. I really lost track playing it...

Hmm i have seen Blue Dragon cheap, also i liked the anime too.

It's a good JRPG. They tool the old school elements, wrapped it up with decent graphics, and then tossed in some new elements isntead of changing everything around.

If you don't like JRPGs, you'll probably get annoyed with it rather quickly.

Yep i dig JRPGs alot, been playing them since Super NES days.

I agree with the mention of Blue Dragon. Great game. I wish I had beat it. Lost Odyssey is good as well, but I actually got pretty burnt out on it by the final disc. Not sure what it was, but somewhere along the way I just got tired of playing the game and never went back to it. I've tried replaying it and the beginning is still fun and cool. If you do pick up LO, look everywhere for the memories. Trust me they are worth it and add a heck of a lot to the game. They are some of the best written pieces of story I've seen in a video game.

I've done it with a 120 gig Western Digital drive a couple years ago and I have yet to be banned.

You're a little late to the party. Pretty much anything that's good on the 360 is much, much better on the PC. The only thing I would consider getting a 360 for is the Halo series.

Kinnect is meh, and MS is supposedly officially bringing it to PC, so there's not really a lot of reasons to own a 360.

Your point is moot, i was a hardcore PC gamer since the 90s and realize the info you provided. You dont need to bring those kind of arguments here, i asked what RPG games for the 360 were good, i was not asking if they were better on the PC.

I bought my 360 when Target had the Arcades for 130-50gc and it was definitely worth it at that price. I wouldn't say the same at the 200-300 dollar price point.

Look at XBLA, all of that shit out there is some of the best content on the 360.

The best game on the 360 is still Ninja Gaiden!

Naw, I really don't know that, but that is about how long it's been since I have been seriously involved with the console! However, NG is a fantastic action title, very challenging and well designed. I am talking the original, not NG2. Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden: Black, either will test your mettle as a hard core action gamer. In my opinion Ninja Gaiden on the xbox is the best action title ever developed. Even if one wouldn't agree, they would be bound to place it among the top 3 best ever, it's that good.

I could not agree more. Also, I recommend Eternal Sonata.

I was super hyped for it but lost interest quickly. Pretty bland imo.
