Do you know what these companies tend to have in common?

Their "customers" have little choice to not be their customers. These are industries with only a few major players, and circumstances can even limit your choice to practically just one.

Ain't that the truth. When you're looking for a service you're usually limited to a few choices that remain 'practical.' Unfortunately those choices typically end up being at least one of the companies listed.

I for one actually have had pleasant experiences with Chase and am relatively (not totally) happy banking with them. The rest of the companies up there care fuck off. Especially...especially AT&T and Comcast. I'm surprised there aren't any gyms on that list. Oh wait this is America we're talking about. :p
 
Bank of America. Shocking. They have screwed me so hard I'm still hurting from it. Came very close to losing my house over a mistake on THEIR end, and I'm still out over $700 in fees I never should have had to pay, and my credit report is screwed up over the deal so I cant switch mortgage companies.

BoA, DIAF. Good to see them on that list.

I asked around a bit and didnt want to take the risk on shelling out MORE to pay the lawyer. Proof would have been a bit difficult without having heard telephone conversations.
 
Charter, hah. Glad I moved and now have access to Uverse.
 
AT&T CS in my experience for mobile has been fantastic. Saved my ass from a $400+ bill (oops).

Dish Network, I am with them now and parents have been since 96. They don't have a problem but they are always tacking on weird fees.

Comcast customer support has been great as long as I let them know I am not stupid.

BOA customer service is okay, they revers overdrafts for me. But the fees and other crap I have to deal with is not worth it. Private Credit Unions ftw!
 
I'm kind of shocked Best Buy is not on there. LOL at the fact that the top 10 is mostly airlines :)

Actually out side of the US apple has a no fans.

People that work for them jump for joy in other countrys... If by joy I mean the release from their apples employment my statement is correct.
 
I have been a customer of most of these most-hated companies and yet oddly enough. I have gotten decent service from them.

They're all right in the sense that they need some serious customer experience epiphanies.
 
You just have to let them know they can't lie to you. You need help, if your nice you get it. If you aren't getting what is required then you be stern, ask to talk to supervisors and blah blah, then pretty soon they either hang up on you (to which you call back) or you get what you want. In my experience anyway this has been the case.

I go the super nice right while letting the representative know I am not a dumber then a box of rocks and if that doesn't get the job done, you start reading of what is guaranteed to you in your contract. Most of the time, in my experience only, have I found that CS barely knows what is going on.
 
Where's Microsoft and Apple? It's America's passtime to bag on those two. :p

And I thought it was amusing that practically all the major airlines are in there.
 
I was pretty surprised this list doesn’t have any of the companies I hate and that these results lack in comparison to what I found on BestTvForMe.com. As an employee of DISH Network I found there an interesting breakdown of the customer service, programming and pricing between multiple providers that’s worth checking out for an accurate rating.
