computer help strange problem please read

I'm working on my friends computer and ran in to some unexpected problems.

this is a intel quad core 2.6ghz 8gigz of ram 120gigbtye hdd and 2x 9800gt sli nivida video cards

my friends computer man told him he caught a virus that can not be delete from the hard drive. Correct me if im wrong but ive never heard of a virus that can survive a good format endless its hidden in the ram its self. How ever i do not think its a virus.

kinda lost at this point.

It has a message about 'safe mode' set for your bios. Try clearing the cmos then adjust your bios settings as needed and try to boot again and see what happens.

Could be that new boot sector virus... Heard about it last week..

From that BIOS screen shot I would say one of the video cards is bad. Try booting with only one video card. Then swap them.
