When do we get the free games from PSN?

Is this already happening? How do I sign up for this? I don't read the sony blog, and I've done a couple google searches and can't find anything.

3. Keep an eye on the SONY PSN site, Kotaku and your email as I'm sure at least 1 of those 3 will get some sort of post or notice about how and when things will be turned back on. Some sites are saying the 24th, but at this point I'll believe it when I see it.

Sony's PlayStation Store has been offline for almost a month following an attack on the company's PlayStation Network, leaving PlayStation developers without a digital storefront to sell their wares. That should changes next week, according to new memo from Sony.

The PlayStation Store is scheduled to return starting May 24, according to a report from Gamasutra which cites an e-mail from PSN content manager Jack Osorno to development partners. On May 24, content previously scheduled for April 26 will go live, with Sony attempting to catch up with rapid updates to the store.

New content is reportedly coming quickly, with updates continuing on May 27, May 31 and June 3, doubling the typical weekly update schedule.

Sony is expected to have its "Welcome Back" content available soon after the PlayStation Store comes back online, offering a handful of free games, movie rentals and membership to its PlayStation Plus subscription service.

a lot of peeps are claiming they're free games right now. Getting the errors when I try to claim them. I guess I'll try later on tonight since it'll be available for a month anyway.
 
I'm trying to get my password changed and keep getting the site is down for maintenance... thought that was over?
 
Thanks for that link. I went to download the first step and then my game 1 download selection disappeared. Was just about to search for an answer, but you saved me there thesandman21
 
Psn store is hanging and throwing errors all over the place.
Must be getting tons of traffic.
 
im downloading now speed doesnt seem too bad im sure they are getting hammered.
 
I tried getting both of the 2 free games & each game option went away after I purchased the vouchers... I tried following the instructions but that wouldn't even work. PSN Store is definitely jacked up bad.
 
Took a few retries for me to get the games to show up in my download list, but once in there they've downloaded pretty quickly and was effortless.
 
Chose my 2 ps3 games, and now the download voucher is gone, and the games are not showing up on my download list.

Edit: After checking transaction history for the ps3 games, it shows me as redeeming the voucher, but no game, unlike the PSP games which show the voucher redeemed and a game listed with it. This sucks.

From the XMB,

Playstation Network >> Account Management >> Transaction Management >> Services List >> SCEA Promotions

You should see the Welcome Package from there and just pick the 2 games you want to download,
 
^No problem.

Took me forever to download Infamous.

Now I'm not sure what my second game would be. Thinking either Wipeout or Dead Nation.

What's on everyone's download list?

PSN is still running buggy and slow.
 
i cant even go to account management.. an error gas occured.. lol what a joke.

You gotta keep trying since the servers are getting hammered by all the people downloading. Took me about 7 tries to finally get my infamous download to start and on top of that, the download to it was slow.
 
How long does this offer stand? Reason is because I have a YLOD PS3 (go figure, unreliable consoles this gen!) and may not get it fixed for a while.

I do have a working PSP, from that, can I only redeem PSP games or also PS3 games to download later from a working console? Or even a PC where I log on to my account? Thanks.
 
To bad you can:t pick a game from the psn website. Im away from home atm and when i get back i wont have internet =/
 
I believe you got until the end of the month to redeem your games.

What you can do is borrow a friends system or something and log on with your account and just queue your downloads so you'll have it stick to your account forever.
