how is the Asus PA246Q vs dell u2410?

I use 3 U2410's and they are excellent, however from what I've read the PA246Q edges out the U2410 in a number of tests. Additionally the Asus doesn't require you to switch to a "game mode" to get low input lag (the U2410's input lag is over 30ms in sRBG and Adobe mode, only 14ms in game).

Read the two latest Reviews at Hardware Canucks. cannot put the url cause the forum rejects it. They are good Reviews. The Asus edges out the Dell U2410.
I have a Dell U2410, which I use professionally and for gaming and movies. it more than suits my purpose.
I purchased it brand new for $350 (Craig's List), and whilst, according to some who have never owned either monitor, the Asus is considered superior in some aspects when price is factored, the Asus at $499 + 125% tax (Canada) vs Dell $350, then the Dell was a superior buy for me.

what do you guys think, which monitor has a better picture quality?

I have owned both, and although they weren't side-by-side they were used in very close temporal proximity. I honestly don't think there was a difference in PQ. They both have semi-fuzzy text, both appeared more green than the BenQ sitting next to them, and they both glow in the lower-right quadrant of the screen. I am 90% certain they are the same panel with same AG coating.

I have 3 and love them. The 2410 is < the PAQ by a small margin in quality.

I don't own the Asus but I just received my U2410.

I bought my Dell U2410 for digital photo editing, digital painting, gaming & watching movies. If you aren't editing or painting or anything that requires accurate color, then the Dell will be OK. However, the reading text is unsharp and mine suffers from the pink and blue/green tinting on solid white backgrounds. In solid black, there is uneven back lighting which is obvious when I'm viewing the [H]ard site.

According to Dell's FAQ on U2410, the tinting falls with in the manufacturing specifications. So all U2410 will have this problem. Mine is going back this week for a full refund.

I own the older Dell 2408WFP and that monitor is vastly better then the U2410. Don't buy into the pre-calibrated marketing on the U2410, it's one point in the center they test, how else can the left side exhibit blue/green cast and the right side has pink cast, and they sign off as good?
