Ok, so I am looking for a 21-23" panel not really picky about size so long as its 21+. Don't really want to spend over 250, but I am not that picky, just need to know what the best deal is, only real limiting factor is I need to be able to get it from frys. Using for light gaming/Photoshop.

For $250 I know you can get a U2311H from Dell with one of thier rather common sales. It's what I'd buy if I wasn't fixated on 1920x1200. It is what I had one of my friends buy for thier new system, and it's a really nice image. That said I have no clue if Fry's sells them, if they do though it's likely what you want.

I like ASUS and Samsung Panels

ASUS and Samsung monitors*

Panels are the actual displays, and those aren't neccesarily ASUS or Samsung! :p

sub-250, and the panel type (TN, IPS, *VA, etc) not being important...

http://www.frys.com/product/6559493?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG (280 dollars, bit over budget but eIPS. Perfect for your photoshoops!)

http://www.frys.com/product/6279290?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG (225, built in webcam + mic)

Personally, I wouldn't use any of these... but I AM picky. :p

Dell's have lots of issues, from what I've read here. Lots of backlight bleed, IPS glow, and the pink/green color issue

I also understand they make it really easy to RMA until you get one you like.

However the one we got my friend doesn't have any issues. I like it far better than my ZR24W. Well other than that pesky resoultion thing.

RMA for anything but dead pixels :p

No, type does not matter, though the one or two IPS I have used I did not really like, probably just cheap ones, so TN will probaby be the safe bet, also, the photoshop is just for bored time, I am putting together a pc for work when I am bored, as I can't stand laptops. Which is why I am not being picky, just looking for a good deal. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

This seems odd to me... IPS displays are blatantly better than TN in terms of colors.

Colors are not that big of a deal to me for this one, and I can't tell you why the IPS didn't feel right, it just didn't.

Acer H243H Review

200$

This is the best 24" TN you can get and is in theory the best matte TN, except for the reports of backlight bleed, but you are very likely to encounter that with the LG IPS panel as well.

Text will be easier to read compared to the LG which uses aggressive anti-glare coating, so if you plan on reading a lot the extra space and lighter AG makes this the better choice.

That is cool, I'm sure a million other people will say my X brand came with a stuck pixel, so I am down on X brand. Lame reason to dismiss an entire companies line of products.

Their price on it isn't the greatest, but if you're interested in trying a *VA, Fry's carries the Samsung 2333T. I got one yesterday, and I'm pretty impressed with it.

Well my HP LP3065 didn't have a stuck pixel, oh come to think of it none of my monitors came with a stuck pixel except the Acer. Don't care if they make the LCD or not it their responsibilty to test and insure no stuck pixels they don't do that therefore I will not buy them ever again.

Tell that to all the people who spent 800$ on IPS HP LP 2475w's and got a screen with half the screen tinted pee yellow or green, even after several replacements.

QC problems apply to all manufacturers, saying you won't buy from X brand is a silly and an immature fanboy thing to do.

Well you need to watch who your calling immature and a fanboi. I have more experience in my left pinky with this stuff than you do in your lifetime. People will always buy/recommend based on their experiences get over it. Acer sucks period. So does OCZ.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will be taking a look at them when I get back next week and see which ones feel the best to me.
