Good games for the HTPC? (720p on a rear projection TV using XB360 controller)

Hello [H] gaming people!

I'm in the process of setting up our HTPC and am looking for games that would lend themselves well to being played on this PC played at 720p on a rear projection TV (eventually it will be replaced with a LCD). Especially good would be games that would adapt well to being played with an Xbox 360 controller.

The relevant stats of the PC are:

Core 2 Duo E5300 @ 3.4ghz
4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 (800mhz)
EVGA Geforce 9600GSO 512


I've already got Need For Speed Shift, DiRT, and DiRT2 installed... I figure all racing games lend themselves naturally to this setup....

Any other ideas or suggestions?

I play Mirror's Edge, Dirt 2 (already mentioned), Red Faction: Guerrilla, GTA IV and Super Meat Boy while my PC is setup to my TV. Most games that support the 360 controller I find myself playing more on the couch with the TV rather than sitting at my desk.

I would suggest Just Cause 2. It controls just great with a 360 controller and it's a blast to play.

Assassin's Creed games.
Devil May Cry 4
Dead Space 1 & 2
Tomb Raider Anniversary, Legend or Underworld.

All work great if not better than kb/m with a gamepad.

MUGEN! But make sure to get two ps2 contollers and usb adapters.

For mindless fun I play Kung Fu Panda.

Trine - fun little co-op game. Side scroller with fantastic graphics! Works great with Xbox360 Controllers. You can buy it on steam.

Each player controls 1 of the 3 characters on screen. Co-op is a blast.

Good thread, In the next few weeks I should be picking up a 1080p projector, all going well... so will need some good sofa games for the PC, I already have a bunch of indy games on steam, I think I'll pick up an xbox 360 controller as well. Any suggestions would be good.
