i sold my pc, and got a mac mini. mac os is interesting, i kind of like it.

Yeah it's very different. And, if you ever need windows again, you can dual boot. Thats what I do. Windows 7 for games, mac os for everything else, and for my blizz games.

Currently Windows XP, but I am looking to switch to Macs by the end of this summer or so.

Main OS is OS X, and it's the OS I do all my work on. For gaming, it doesn't get any better than Windows, so I have a Windows rig as well.

A dozen personal systems, 10 Windows 7 devices of various types, 2 Windows 2008 R2 servers. Three work provided devices, two laptops and a desktop running XP.

10.6 on my MacPro and MBP. I use XP on a Netbook for those classic Steam games, though.

Home/gaming system (dead, about to build a new one :)): Windows 7

Work system: MBP i5 running OS 10.6 + Win7 (Boot Camp)

13" MBA as my primary system
Windows 7 desktop used to be my main primary system but now it's just a glorified torrent/storage computer until I get a NAS to transfer everything over.

I'm a recent convert to OSX with my MBP purchase. It's my main dev machine now, even for Flash stuff which is a bit ironic I suppose. I still use my main Win7 rig, but mostly just for VS2K10 and Starcraft 2. I'll be moving to an iMac with bootcamp later this year and turning the Win7 rig into a vmware box.

Depends on what I am doing or where I am at. OSX on my MBP 13 that I carry and Windows 7 on my desktop at home.

Hard to say, I use Windows 7 and OS X both quite evenly.

yeah, this won't be a biased poll at all. posting in in the Apple subforum.

Who cares if it's biased? Are you heavily invested in the results?

Mac OSX
Just built a Windows rig for games only.

Both have their strong points

Windows 7 ulitmate for gaming

Windows 7 pro for work

Mac OSx for school work and other portable non work related stuff.

This thread is obviously a means of sorting out the good from the bad; all "Windows" answerers will be banned from the subforum soon :)

My MacBook Pro is my man computer.

That being said, I have a Windows 7 box I use for gaming, encoding video, and other stuff. I use that everyday as well.

Also the backend for network consists of Windows Home Server, and an Untangle box.

I'll use whatever works best for me.

My desktop is win 7, my server is server 08 r2, and my mbp is os x obviously; I use the desktop mainly, the server is touched damn near never (it's up and running so why mess with it.) and my MBP is for school and coding and stuff.

Usage wise it's about a 70 windows/30 os x percent split; I prefer OS X but I don't have the means to make it my main OS right now and I have this mod bug that bites me every now and then and a Mac won't let me scratch that itch unfortunately, I came so close to hawking it all for a 27" iMac but I couldn't bring myself to do it in the end.

Windows. I really dont care for OSX as a desktop OS.

I just use Apple for their mobile products (iPhone, iPad, iPod)
