Simplest ideas are usually the best approach to a problem. If you have shaky hands, have no friends, like to make action videos or just plain like to have the coolest and newest gadgets out there, check this out. The guys over at Satarii have created gold.

got to admit, thats a very neat idea and im sure there going to do well.

Awesome ...

I'm betting low-budget movie producers would be very interested in a "pro" version of this...

too many uses for this... even surveillance...

LOL.. could you imagine putting the tracker on your dog or pet?:p

It's a cool idea, they should make it for other phones and camera products though, as the iphone video quality isn't that great.

That's the first thing I thought of, but it didn't seem the best title for a news article.:p

Totally Awesome. A great idea. I think they should do it for normal camcorders too.

this is a great idea as long as you are completely alone or have someone watching the phone for you otherwise

"watch me ride really fast down this road on my skateboard!"
**ninja swipe**
"Wow that was really......... HEY! where the fook is my phone?"

They need to make a GoPro mount for it. I could get some nice downhill MTB footage with that... and all my friends are too lazy to ride bikes.

hmm now they have to figure out how to remotely control zoom and we can be rid of camera men altogether!

Uh... nowhere does it say it's for iPhone only. It's just a cradle. They clearly state put your "video phone" in the cradle.

someone should tell them that microphones and nonlinear editing have already been invented. just in case they wanted to make use of those things for their next product demo.

The title of this thread is "iPhone Garage-Built Gadget," and in addition to that, the only phone(s) I saw them use in the demonstration video we're iphones.

That is awesome! If they market it right and can get it made in enough numbers, those guys could get rich.

One thing I cant figure out though is, how does it work with regular cameras? Does the base itself have a built in camera or some sort of tracking or does it follow the blue dot through what the camera attached sees?

1. Title name was written by an admin, not Satarii.
2. Maybe they only own iphones?

Seriously it's not that hard to see that it is simply a cradle system. Would be quite simple to adapt to regular camers, just make a tripod double mount. So it mounts to the tripod, and the camera mounts onto it with the same style of mount. Awesome idea, I wish them well.

I just skimmed through it, relax.

That is really cool. Nice to see that it's 2 guys in a garage that have built this.

Oh...I bet Apple is already stealing the idea and placing their own patents.

It's a very fun product, but I feel like I've seen iterations of this technology already, so if they want to cash in, they will need to do so before the rest of the world has their own version. This tech is likely patented already.

Anyone heard of "ShayCarl" or "ShayTards" from youtube? If not, he's one of the most watched vloggers on youtube and the Satarii guys have hired him to be their spokes person. So I'd suggest buying up some stock options if they are available cause this thing is going to take off BIG TIME!

they have had this for years in a tripod head version, but they were pricey.
