I am going to create a log for all the parts I bought. Anyways, I don't like the fact that my sunbeam cold contact cooler did not work. It is a 775 cooler so I figured it would be at a weird angle. But it doesnt work. I actually broke the clip that holds the heatsink down.
That is probably my fault.
Anyways, I am going to take some pics and hopefully finish my build tomorrow.
The intel cooler is going to have to do for now.
If the antec 620 kuhler fails, I will get a swiftech or xspc kit. let me know which pump/rad combo is better.

As for the mobo:
I like the layout except for the fan connections.
SLI/Xfire spacing was a worry when I purchased, but it isn't bad. It isn't great, but the fan spacing will suffice.
Be careful when installing gear. I wasn't thinking and accidently bent the top of the "extreme" heatsink. It is not very strong.

I am not close to done building this. But, this is by far the hardest build I have done. My case is pissing me off. If you are building a p67 using a 775 cooler and a case w/o behind mobo wiring...It is like Demon's souls. Frustration.

I don't know what issues you had installing your cooler, but I also could not get my lga775 cool (Xigmatek s1283) to work with the lga775 holes on the extreme4. I actually had to buy the lga1156 conversion kit for the heatsink to make it work. The cpu socket itself was interfering with cooler's bracket.

The core contact cooler has a latch mechanism similar to the 1156 conversion kit you had to install. The problem is that the part that you have to press down on is interfered by the nb heatsink. That is part of why it got bent. I ended up trying to make it work, but ended up breaking the cooler's latch.

I am using the intel stock cooler. I am not wasting my artic silver on the stock cooler. Going to get a wc kit. The bios is great. and having front usb3 is awesome for the price. My ram was set at 1333 and 9-9-924. but I just moved it to its stock 1600 7-8--7-24 and it works fine. My only complaint is the 4-pin mobo SLI/crosx connection is placed in a bad spot, but all mobos have that. You would think that they would place it in a more accessible area. The cable kinda blocks the push fans on the back of the case. I'll post some pics tomorrow. My cable management sucks because I knew I was going to get some new fans. I am just installing all my apps while I wait for my fans and wc. my cpu is max at 4.3 at 76c so far. Not great, but between the stock cooler and bad thermal paste (its not making good contact because I didnt clean the core contact's paste). I'm being lazy.

That didn't take alot of time! My sata2 port is already taking 16 seconds more from the first install. Luckily I only need the disc drive for a few more items. Wish I could connect it to a sata3, but extremepro6 still seems a waste.

I'm interested to know what you're settings are to get 4.3 (stable I assume?)? I havent gotten into tweaking mine yet so a baseline would be useful for comparison.

Thanks.
