I'm eager to game on.

Installing Bad Company 2 + Vietnam right now.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I recommend installing Flash and getting to some tower defense games or if you want to really stress test that beast, Farmville.

Wanna seriously test your new rig?
Get a TRUE PC game like ArmA2 and mods... Most of the others are just console ports and will not tax your rig at all. I have a Core 2 Duo (Building SandyBridge rig) right now and there is not a console port I can't play.
ArmA2 I play on lower settings....

Awesome. I actually bought Arma 2 last year on the steam sale but never played. Will set it up tonight.

fucking everything man!

Depends on what kind of games you like, you aren't going to go wrong by BC2

Don't expect to play Dragon Age in landscape mode.... having the action bar and health bars on the far left of the left monitor makes it almost unplayable. (first game I've tried to play since going eyefinity) Left 4 dead 2 seems fun and works well in landscape. Heard wow works well if you like mmos.

BFBC2 + Vietnam
World of Warcraft
Team Fortress 2

^those are my favs

Team Fortress 2 for mindless fun, very chill game especially when cross team voice chat is on.

Left 4 Dead 2 because killing zombies with other people is fun.

Dawn of War 2 - A quasi action RPG/RTS game. It's an RTS without all the resource mining in games like Red Alert, Warcraft, Starcraft...

Bad Company 2's sound and visuals at times make it extremely exciting to play.

If you haven't already played them, Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, great single player experiences. MW2's multiplayer on PC isn't so stellar. If you wanna get into Call of Duty online on the PC just get Black Ops. It's the newest, tons of players, dedicated servers.

Metro 2033, moody atmospheric single player FPS. The narratives during level loads is well written. Good use of certain sound effects. Can be scary at times. The gun play mechanics are a little weak. It's a game that'll require some of the higher levels of hardware to get all the eye candy and keep it playable.

Oh, a lot of people are busting a nut over Minecraft. I don't know why though.

mastur...Necrovision! for eyefinity play burnout paradise. even if you dont like car games. Easily the best looking eyefinity game out.

Cryostasis. Its unoptimized so it needs one hell of a rig, but the graphics and physx are nice, and the story is great

Congrats on new setup! Reading this makes me want to go try it out. ><

Edit: was asking basic surround/eyefinity questions, found answers in the displays forum.

Metro2033, that game looks beautiful!

STALKER isn't the best looking game compared to Crysis or Metro, but its gonna different style of graphics which I personally enjoy very much. More dark colors and a bit more original, hard to explain but its great!

I have STALKER shadow of chernobyl in my steam but not call of pryat... I guess I'll buy that one. Atmosfear 2.1 you say? Cool!

I'm enjoying Crysis a lot, also Black Ops for the lulz of having a silly advantage. Peripheral vision ftw. Someone above mentioned SCII- It doesn't work in Eyefinity.

Make sure you check out Widescreen Fixer
http://www.widescreenfixer.org/
It helps with a bunch of the games that can't handle the aspect ratio well.

yep.
http://atmosfear.crommcruac.com/call-of-pripyat/download.php

make sure you read the install instructions and backup folders accordingly in case something gets messed up

It should download as a install file. You should finish Shadow of Chernobyl if you haven't. Get the Complete 2009 mod for it.

Crysis warhead looks awesome at max settings!

Metro 2033 is likewise a great looking game and very enjoyable.

I like playing Civilization 5 to scratch that '...just one more turn...' itch.

Steam is downloading Bad Company 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R while I'm at work, so I'll start playing those tonight.

HAHAHAHAHA IS FUNNY BECAUSE ITS NOT EVEN A GAME ITS AN AUDIO CD THAT WOULDNT ACTUALLY STRESS ANYTHING AT ALL ON HIS SYSTEM. HILARIOUS!!

did I post the audio cd? I meant to post the game.

Kind of as a joke, but kind of to see if anyone else played it. childhood favorite.

Anyways, commence being an dildo.

That actually made it all the better. I saw that and thought, "Now that guys got a rapist's wit."

You ruined it for me admitting it was an accident. :(
