WTB: Klipsch promedia 2.1 subwoofer only

My sub woofer died, the satellites are still working. I opened up the sub and a few capacitors went bad, but the transformer is still healthy. I'm looking for a working electronic board or a full working sub.

If it helps, I could probably repair this for you. I'm not sure where you are located, but I'm around the Ann Arbor, MI area. I have the older 4.1 version of this but on mine, the driver is blown. If you end up giving up on yours, maybe we could work out something for your driver.

Possibly, its just that the board with the big capacitors has some kind of cheese covering it, probably blown capacitor paste.

What is a driver, is that the correct term for the board?
 
bump for an awesone speaker set. love mine....got them off cowboom.com for $80. There are alot of subs in ebay tho. just fyi
 
I bought a set off ebay it was suppose to be fully working but the sub makes no sound. I bought a second set to test the sub and it works fine with the first set. took it apart and no blown caps or fuses everything looks good.. wish i could find one too or someone can fix it.
 
Yeah that sucks. I really don't want to go to best buy and buy another set, I really like them.
 
Bump, looking for a fix for mine too... the satellites work, but the sub is completely dead, and I can't find anything wrong with the components.
