Can someone identify this video card?

So, I'm working on a new system build, and the video card I chose was an EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Superclocked. So, in searching for the best price, I found a nice deal at Overstock.com ($251 or so shipped). It was the last one in stock, so I ordered it. Well, it arrived today... sorta.

I opened the shipping box and it was pretty well packed. I pull out the video card box and it is indeed an EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Superclocked box. I open up the box and pull out the packing. All of the appropriate accessories are there... though there's a USB cable in the box for some reason. I pull out the vid card and notice the tape seal for the anti-static bag had already been opened so I began to get a little worred. As I began pulling out the card, I realized it was only a single expansion slot thick which surprised me. I was sure the 470 was a double-slot card. I looked at it more closely and realized it didn't appear to be the right card. I confirmed online by checking pictures of the 470 and indeed, it was the wrong card. This card doesn't even have any branding on it save for nVidia.

Fortunately Overstock.com is going to give me a complete refund (they do not have any more of the card in stock) and are even paying for the return shipping, so, except for the inconvenience and the fact that I won't be able to get the card for this nice price, I'm not all that upset about it. It sounds like someone bought the 470 and then "returned" it with their old card, giving themselves a free upgrade, and the retailer that took the return didn't bother to check the merchandise before putting it up for sale again.

Anyway, I'm curious what this card actually is... I was hoping someone here could identify it:

On that last shot, there is an 8/04 on the sticker, which could possibly be a date (August 2004)... if so then this card is quite old and someone scammed a nice free upgrade.

I've already ordered the real thing from newegg (like I should have in the beginning) and it should get here hopefully on the same day the rest of my parts arrive so there should be no delay. I'm pleased with the Overstock.com customer service though... no hassle on getting the return set up.

OK then, mystery solved.

Some RMA worker really effed up taking this in as a return and letting it go out to be resold. That, or some warehouse worker is getting frisky with the merchandise and managed a nice little upgrade for himself. I hope they have records that can let them catch the individual who did it...

it is also missing the serial number sticker and the QA sticker. Which suggests that it was not going through the right channels and someone did not want it tracked to them.

I have two of that exact card.

It's an OEM 8800GT- a slimline variant. Mine were from BFG, and I just checked the heat sinks to make sure- identical.
