need some help cleaning up Windows 7 startup

Finishing off a build for a buddy. Re-used a hard drive from his old system to fresh-install Windows 7 32bit.
Previously, there was a Win 7 upgrade (from Vista I believe).

After passing boot screen, it asks which OS I want to use:

Windows 7
Windows 7

Basically two Win 7 choices.
I know which one to choose since the 'old' install goes to an error screen but
how do I get rid of that so it just boots into the fresh install of Windows 7?

run msconfig, then delete the one you don't want
