Another month has passed us by. Where does all the time go?

Nominate the best and the brightest!

Q: What is the [H]ard|DCer of the Month?

Every month, the team gets a chance to choose someone they thought contributed greatly to the team, and give them a bit of recognition for it. At the begining of each month, a nomination thread is held. Here is your chance to nominate whoever you think deserves recognition. Someone can be nominated for any reason. It does not matter if they designed some massive piece of software to help the team in some way, or simply added a few boxen to ramp up their production.

Q: How do things work?

Nominations are held for 10 days starting on the 1st of each month. The nominated people move onto a poll and the Poll will be open for 10 days following the end of the nomination thread. The remaining part of the month is reserved for congratulating the winner and have fun. Same as before, vote for whoever you want, for whatever reaons you want. If there is a tie, a runoff will be held. After the winner is chosen, they are interviewed so the entire team can see what makes them tick.

For the [H]ard|DCer of the Year, there is no nominations thread because the only worthy candidates is the [H]ard|DCer of the Month winners for the current year. The poll to choose a winner is done in 2 steps : The first poll will include all 12 winners for the current year and we select only the best 4 winners which will participate in the next round. If there is a tie in the first 4 ranks, the tie winners will move together. In the second round, the one with the most votes will be declared the winner but if there is a tie, a runoff vote will be held. Each step will last 10 days.

Q: What does the winner get as prize?

Being that there is no cash flow funding the [H]ard|DCer award, there is only so much we can do in the way of prizes The [H]|DCers do not have a physical prize, but thanks to Kyle and the rest of the gang, we still have something to give winners. All winners will receive a custom title showing off their achievement.

Q: Are there any rules for this?

To nominate someone, you must give at least a brief reasoning behind why they should be nominated.
Past winners cannot be nominated until one full year after they last won.
You cannot nominate yourself.
HardDCer of the Year winners is excluded forever.
Any contestation or question about the nomination thread should be done via PM.

May I Be Worthy - 3 SR-2s, tons of testing and setup info, massive production.

He's the last of the trilogy over the last 2 months, and they both won their months (musky, [H]K).
 
I'd like to nominate metallicafan for his WCG & BOINC involvement, dedication, and organizing of our Christmas challenge.
 
metallicafan is a good choice except he won earlier this year and is not eligible.

I would like to nominate TJMagneto for all the donations he has made to the system giveaways.

I would like to nominate Jedi955 again for his folding utility that has made folding more accessible to more people.

I would like to nominate Freaky for his team spirit despite all the problems he had with his ISP which caused him to be unable to upload work units

I would like to 2nd MIBW's nomination as well.
 
ill add a nom for MIBW cause he was the only one on my threat list!
 
I'd like to nominate SazanEyes as he is still putting up lots of BOINC points + over 100k PPD in f@h, plus hes very helpful around the boards.

I'd also like to nominate rflcptr. The Christmas Challenge wouldnt have gotten off the ground without him. Plus he is consistently our biggest WCG producer (averaging over 18k PPD).

A big thanks to both these guys.

I agree with many on here that SazanEyes is long due recognition.
 
Aww shucks again guys, but I second and third Sazaneyes - he is overdue.

@musky, amdgamer, nitrobass, dmolter: appreciate it - your brown envelopes are being mailed today. Usual amount.

@HK I had better not split my vote across 3 rigs - SR2#1 is already jealous of the younger and prettier SR2#3, all nekkid and with bigger CPUbies. :p

@zero2dash - "last of the trilogy"?! Did you meant that in a LOTR-Return of the King way or in a Jaws 3D/Godfather-3/Return of the Jedi kind of way? ;)

Sorry metallicafan and FTFDU, I have to nominate SazenEyes this month.
While all three of you are hardcore and more than worthy, one of you is overdue on both the F@H and WCG side of the aisle.

lol, talk about splitting my vote - user name MIBW, folding name DigitalFX, now nickname FTFDU, and my 3 rigs nominated individually . :confused: :p

If multiple noms are allowed, as well as Sazaneyes I would like to nominate 10e. Not only did he share the disable NUMA trick a while back - which added 10% to every SR2's output (ie = adding 2 more effective SR2's to [H])

But now he has just built the 48core monster - the new Fastest Rig in the [H]orde, giving hope to AMD fans everywhere, and putting us annoying SR2 guys back in our boxes. So something in that for everyone I think ;)
