I have been with AT&T for over 10 years now and have been pretty happy with them. I have had major screw ups on my bill over the past 3 months however. I have 3 lines and added data packages to 2 of the lines. Somehow the data package was added to the 1 line I did not want it on and not on my phone. I racked up almost 200 dollars worth of charges in 2 days. Today I finally straightened it all out and should be seeing credits on my next bill. They also knocked my internet down from 47 a month to 19.99.

So.. after all is said and done my monthly bill with:
3 phones, 1400 anytime min, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited texting on all 3 phones, insurance on all 3 phones and the 2 gig data package on 2 phones comes out to around 210 with tax.

I am wondering how this stacks up against other carriers. I have always heard that AT&T is high, but have no idea what others are paying. As far as AT&Ts phones go, I am very happy with my rooted Captivate. I would give their customer service an A+ also.

T-Mobile has the cheapest plans. As well as smart phones like the Vibrant aka the Captivate. Prices are being driven down. Go to any carriers website and look at plan prices...

$160 after taxes for 5 lines through AT&T with 1400 minutes, unlimited SMS on all lines, and unlimited data on 2 lines.

So 47 dollars cheaper for the same plan with 2 additional phones? I do have insurance which adds 15 dollars, but still...

I have a 15% discount on my account and only pay $10 per line for unlimited data (unlocked/unbranded phones are nice as AT&T has no idea they're smartphones :p ). Should be getting that bumped up to 25% hopefully due to work.

I had the orginal Droid on Verizon. My bill was $77 bucks after taxes. 450 Minutes, 500 texts (I think)and unlimited data.

I recently switched to AT&T. Haven't gotten my first bill but pre-tax it's $50 for 450 minutes, 200 texts, and the 2GB data plan.

500 anytime min, unlimited text and data, unlimited n&w.... $30/mo

SERO FTMFW!

Plus next month I can upgrade to the evo/epic any my bill will be only $50! :D

$46 - 250 minutes, Unlimited talking Canada wide to 5 numbers, Unlimited Text, 6GB of Data, Call display, name display and Visual Voicemail

I'm paying $62 on verizon for 450 minutes, 500 text, insurance on my phone. Haven't upgraded to a smartphone yet still have the original EnV.

AudioCow, how you paying 77 including data? You get a discount? basic plan is $40 then its $10 for texting and then insurance and tax ends up being $62. Data plan I think is $30.

Verizon 1000 Shared Minutes Unlimited Text Unlimited Data 2 Lines both are Droids 135$ a month after taxes

$75 iPhone at&t plan, 400 mins, 1500 txts, "unlimited" data, including 15% work related discount.

With Verizon I had a 20% discount. With AT&T I have a 30% discount.

Verizon discount didn't apply to my text plan unless I bundled unlimited texts into my calling plan. Same goes for AT&T I think.

somewhere around 180ish for 6 phones. 5 on a family 1500 minutes, anytime any mobile, unlimited data and text for all. 1 line by itself with 450 minutes with unlimited data.

$59 and change. 450m 200txt unlimited data. I'm thinking about dropping the text message and use textfree or my google phone number for it, and I wish I could drop the voice to 200 minutes to save more.

Verizon 1000 Shared Minutes Unlimited Text Unlimited Data 2 Lines both are Droids 135$ a month after taxes

i'd like to know how you are getting that, the data portion alone on droid or any smart phone for that matter on verizon is $30 minimum for each phone.... how long have you had that plan?

$30 - Sprint SERO - 500 anytime, night and weekends @ 7, unlimited data, text, roaming etc

55 for my Telus bill with 450m evenings at 6, unltd text, 3gb of data supporting tethering for no additional cost.

About 35 for my Rogers bill for 200m unltd text and 6gb data

I really wish AT&T had a text plan between 200 and 1500. I probably use about 250-300 texts a month :/

Exact same here. Only when amongst a group of friends in a remote place or steadily dating do i use more.

$46 - 250 minutes, Unlimited talking Canada wide to 5 numbers, Unlimited Text, 6GB of Data, Call display, name display and Visual Voicemail

I"m assuming its rogers???

man, i got the same thing and i pay 100 dollars a month!

I pay $34/month with Sprint.
500 anytime minutes
Pick 3 numbers (Google Voice is 1 of my Pick 3 so I get unlimited minutes)

Currently no Android phone can be activated on my Sprint SERO plan but October 1st they are offering SERO Premium for $10 more/month which allows Android phones as well as gives you Any Mobile Anytime and GPS Navigation. 4G Android Phones like the EVO will cost an additional $10/month to add to the SERO Premium plan.

another Sero user here! love it, have me, my mom, dad and GF on our plan and only $150 or so a month

pondering what to do after Oct 1st though :)

$90 plus tax for 2 lines on AT&T.

550 minutes combined, 200 text messages per line, 200MB data per line.

About $100 a month with Verizon.

One smartphone & one dumbphone.

700 minutes/unlimited text & data/insurance on the droid 2

Get a pretty substantial discount through my employer, something like almost %30. Just found out about it a couple months ago, have been with Verizon for ~5 months.

im paying $150 a month with verizon. dam you guys with job discounts ><

paying for 2 lines, 700min, unlimited text for both, insurance, and unlimited data for my incredible.

900 shared minutes between two iPhones, 2x data plans, 2x 2000 messaging plans, and 17% company discount, somewhere around $180/month. Rip off. But the wife is happy so whatever.

450 anytime minutes, unlimited text, unlimited data, unlimited mobile to mobile, unlimited nights and weekends from Sprint.

$69.99 for the above plan + $10 for 4G + $7 insurance + taxes/fees = ~$95/month.

The weird thing is, the Sprint rep repeatedly said my first bill would be slighty higher than all the subsequent ones and my first bill was $91...not that I am complaining.

I pay $150 a month on Sprint for:

2 lines, both smartphones
1500 anytime
unlimited data and associated stuff (GPS, email, etc.)
unlimited text
anytime any mobile
nights and weekends at 7
insurance on one line (I felt I didn't need it on mine. Now I wish I did it for mine too.)
1 year $150 rebate on upgrade on primary line (instead of waiting two years)
plus other Premier benefits I can't remember.

$70 for 450 mins 250 txt msgs data for my BB. My employer gets 22% off my bill with verizon.

Call them up and ask if there are any discounts available. There are govt. job discounts, credit union discounts, etc... can't hurt to call and ask.
We had a 25% discount with Verizon for govt. employees.

for the people with Sero, have you been able to get an employer discount as well? I know you are not suppose to but seem to hear other places that people have it, wonder how true that is though...

$65 a month with Telus.

300 minutes
6GB of Data
6PM Eve/WE
Unlimited texting
My10 Unlimited Nationwide
CID
VM

I pay 75-80 every month, on Tmobile with my old 350 minute Myfavs plan, Unlim text + data with my Vibrant.

$33.xx a month for me on a sero 500 w/free 5pm nights and weekends. I avg over 1gb of data, ~800 texts, and ~1,000 total minutes a month. once my bill was $7 higher because I went over on daytime minutes :(

next month all of the sero users can upgrade to new phone for only $10 more a month (or $20 more for 4g). exciting times for us sero hold outs! :)

The huge cell phone bills people pay always blow my mind. Not worth that much to me. Guess I just don't love people enough to use that much. We used to have a pair of cellphones for $80ish a month as our only phones...I thought that was bad.

I'm on Boost mobile with a sprint HTC touch pro. "unlimited" data / pay per minute/text. I go through about $20 a month (if that). Was even a bit cheaper when I was on pageplus prepaid.

My wife is on the Virgin Mobile $25/month unlimited text/data/300 min plan.
