I have been contemplating mounting my 32" lcd on my wall. I have a cheap walmart stand right now and the middle shelf is actually sinking down since my receiver is on it and above that the tv is on it. So the outer shelves are angled slightly down inward toward the receiver. Dont know how long it will last.

Right now its only 2 feet from the wall anyways so why not mount it with one of those extension type mounts. Save some space and I could organize my consoles, receiver, and amp better on a rack or something smaller and more vertical.

But is it silly to see a 32" tv mounted on the wall? my gf seems to think it will look stupid, but my bedroom is only 5-6 feet wide so its no like its a tiny tv mounted in my living room. My chair is only 4 feet from the tv.

Sounds reasonable to me, my aunt has a 19" mounted in her kitchen and that looks fine becasue the room is tiny.

It will look no bigger or smaller than it does now so all that will change is where it is.

Kind of nice to just have it hovering there, an adjustable mount makes things good too.

I guess its not that silly of a thing to do. But nobody except me and my gf see it really and I do some pretty strange things.

The farther away your TV is, the smaller it'll seem, so why not get a wall mount that allows you to extend the monitor closer to you when you want some "bigger screen" action?

Check out the great feedback on this specific monoprice articulating wall mount: http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=598985

Or if you find that one too expensive then maybe consider these instead:
