LIAN LI PC-7FNWX

It was a toss up between this or the PC-9F for me new case. I decided to wait for the 9F since it has more HDD slots. I do with it came in all black inside with a window too...

I have the P-7FN and that's a great case for my server :)

so the 'X' version is just with USB3.0?

USB 3.0
Power/Activity lights on top instead of front
No dust cover on top ports
Optional 140mm fan cutout on top
Black interior
Removable dust filter for bottom (PSU) vent
Included cable management kit

I think thats everything :>

I finally found it at one site here in the states. Still looks like it will be out for three to four weeks if you order but it's at ProVantage which is reputable. I wonder why it's taking so damn long when the case came out almost a month ago.

Lian Li PC-7FNWX At ProVantage

No, they don't have stock. They're out three to four weeks. It looks like they're just ordering them direct from Lian Li and then Lian Li sends it direct to you.

Hey ya'll, you know you can always make a product request to Newegg via this link.

I, too, wanting this case for my next built. :)

I'm sure newegg will sell it when it's out, but judging by the universal lack of stock, i don't think lian li has released it yet, despite the supposed april release date

This case was supposed to be out 30 days ago. I wanted to get the 60FNWX back in mid April, but I didn't want to wait and wound up grabbing an FT02.

When do you think Newegg will have stock of this case Lian Li PC-7FNWX ?

I have a PC-a77f with the usb 3.0 ports on top. There were no usb 2.0 ports and the usb 3 ports just had 4 big ugly cables that were meant to be routed to the back of the mobo (no headers or anything like that).

I swapped out the i/o panel to one with usb 2 connections. I would have preferred 2 usb 2 and 2 usb 3 ports.

Can't you use USB2 in a USB3 port?

According to Lian-Li press releases, the PC-7FNWX will be available along with PC-60FNWX and PC-8NWX to local distributors by the end of May. Both PC-7FNWX and PC-60FNWX carry a MSRP of $199 whereas PC-8NWX with MSRP $169.

What is a distributor?
A place like Newegg or the place Newegg gets stuff from?

199 is a bit step just to get a black interior. I may have to rethink this. Regardless it should be in stock in Newegg soon I would assume.

When they say release at the end of May, that means US availability approx 3 months later as it has to take a slow boat over here across the Ocean and work it way through distribution channels.

I'm waiting for the PC-X900 case and have become quite familiar with the process unfortunately...that case was released at the end of April and still isn't here.

That case had the same release dates as the Lian Li PC-7FN, April 20th.

At least they announced the release of the PC-7FNWX and said it should be at distributors by the end of May.

I hope you are wrong on you 3 month estimate.

I think $199 is a bit steep for black interior and usb 3.0 (something i don't need and won't upgrade my motherboard for) as well. I'm back to thinking about a fractal R2, but either way I guess I waiting a bit.

From the pictures this case looks to have that screwed up backwards hard drive cage where the wires come out of the front window side.

Lian Li held these models back a month as they need some tweaking and I hoping it's this messed up hard drive cage that they fixed.

Anyone know?

I'd assume you can switch and have them facing either way, considering its that way with the recently released Lancool series as well as other Lian Li cases.

Also, $199 is a suggested retail price. You can order it from ProVantage right now for $146. I doubt it will be $199 from Newegg when it finally shows up.

Hey ya'll I just happen to found out that FrozenCPU.com has the PC-7FNWX in stock - click here and see for yourself. But hurry as this case is selling out fast.

Otherwise, you can always take a look at the PC-60FNWX which is also available at FrozenCPU via this link

Thanks for the link. Its shame its $199. I'll wait until the egg has it and make my decision then.

Where the heck is the PC-9F at? Lian Li is great with coming out with new products, only nobody knows when the new products are released into the wild...

Yeah, it was $189.95 earlier yesterday when FrozenCPU posted it up on their site but now the price bump up due to only one in stock from when I last checked (but it could change)

Hopefully the egg will have it soon....

By the way, PROVANTAGE is showing the case on their site here for $146.59 for special order.

Another vender, Applied-Computer, is showing the PC-7FNWX for $167.04 here but you'll have to call them for
availability.

What does everyone think about the Lian Li PC-8FI R (Red Spider Version)?

THey get Lian Li cases from Hampton Tech. which is the US distrubutor. Usually drop shipped directly from Hampton. Thats how most of the online PC places do it. Saves on double shipping and no need to keep unnecessary inventory.

Can I just order one from Hampton?

Newegg doesn't quite have the new cases yet the last time I checked, eh, they still got the PC-7FNW and PC-60FNW though.
