It would seem that Verizon is at the top of the heap when it comes to customer satisfaction. AT&T is at the bottom of the list in more than one category.

Of the 4,040 wireless subscribers questioned for the survey in March, 49 percent of Verizon's customers said they were very satisfied with their service. In second place was Sprint Nextel with a 35 percent satisfaction rate. T-Mobile and AT&T both tied for last with only 23 percent of their customers who said there were very satisfied.

Holy shit. Sprint is back up to #2. I remember when they were dead last back in 2006 or so before Dan Hesse took over.

I have been very happy with sprint! I have always had a fond hate for AT&T, weather its wireless, telco, email. They have never been willing to work on issues or assist me in troubleshooting circuit issues. Its pulling teeth to get them to lift a pinky. The feds need to slap them with new regulations

I have to say that I've been a happy Verizon customer for the last four years though they are slow about getting phones and I worry that they are so tied up into Android that I fear their Windows 7 Phone offerings are going to suck.

But their 3G service rocks except indoors in concrete buildings.

What I hear from people is they are happy with Verizon ONCE they get all the inevitable billing problems taken care of at the start.

It's tough not to be happy with Sprint when they're so much cheaper than everyone else. Unlimited data, text, and mobile calling for $70 / month.

Which is why I might go to Sprint if Verizon's Windows 7 Phones suck.

I switched from US Cellular to Verizon last year and am very HAPPY. I no longer have dropped or missed calls. I also have a much better selection of phones.

ATT doesnt even count for me as they have no service where I live. My step son who has an iPhone stopped by to visit while home on leave. He was bumming that he had no service. Same for Vigin Mobile.

Not terribly surprised. I've had to deal with sprint a little more than usual (my once every 2 year contract renewal, threaten to cancel and get better deals on phone upgrade dance) lately and they've actually been fantastic every time. I still have to probe a little bit with my questions to nudge them in the direction I'm hoping they will go to resolve an issue... but most of it is that reps are not allowed to offer it unless customers explicitly ask for it.

Aside from that, it's actually been quite nice to "deal" with them. Even when I was having to do the dance bit, they've been getting better (almost pushy to a fault) about making sure you were happy with your call with them.

Problem that cropped up was that I got bitten by the LG Lotus screen bug where it starts spinning on you. Looks like a CRT monitor with both the vsync and hsync out of whack. I got some really neat effects out of it, though... and the strangest thing was that the rate the screen was spinning, it would speed up or slow down according to the orientation of the phone. But despite my phone being just out of the 1 year warranty, Sprint sent me a new one to replace it without dinging me on my upgrade discount.

Plus Sprint lets me keep my fair and flexible plan, which is almost as good as some of the SERO offerings of old. ($5 block for 50 minutes, $0.10 a minute overage beyond so many blocks versus... $0.49 a minute overage. Yeah. I'll take the blocks.)

Pretty much on par with my experience with Verizon too. I can't remember the last time I've had a dropped call or an issue with customer service. I just got my first smart phone with them back in December too (Droid) and have been extremely pleased with it :D. I've been with them for 5 years now. My mom has AT&T and she's been pretty happy with them too, but she does drop calls with me occasionally with them in known dead spots where she's at. I think I'll coerce her into switching to Verizon in the next year or so though so we're on the same carrier (I know I'm not switching, hah).

Being tops in Customer service in the Cell industry is like saying you ride in the front seat of the short bus........

Speaking of "dropped calls", I was trying to contact their DSL technical support line last night. I was 'dropped' almost a dozen times when the system attempted to forward me to tech support. I was also put into a 'loop' at least 6 times as well, where I would simply say I wanted technical support, supply a phone number, then be transferred right back to the same menu i was just at. The only way I was ever able to reach anyone was to go to their mobile CS department and was transferred (then disconnected) and then i went to their FIOS department and finally was transferred directly to the queue rather than another menu.

Maybe their mobile CS is good but their automated phone system sucks.

Interesting results... as a long-time very satisfied TMO customer who suggested TMO for countless people I personally don't know anyone who is not a satisfied TMO customer.

PS: all this while they have far the fastest 3.5G network, no overage fees and the lowest prices.

Except for overages, Verizon has been great to me for almost two years now. Great network, great phones too. I'm getting the HTC Droid Incredible soon. I can't wait for the LTE network.

4,000 out of the what 100,000,000 people that have cellphones, yeah that is going to be an accurate sample isnt it? I bet they were all from the same area too.

Been fairly happy with them over the last four years. The only this I wish they would offer is a plan like Sprint; unlimited everything for 70 a month, (data, voice, texts, internet). That would make them unbearable in my book.

I'm currently with TMO there service isn't the greatest but works fine in my local area, there 3G is
somewhat spotty, however there not as bad as I expected, and the customer service is friendly and
helpful.

that being said, I plan to return to sprint when my contract with TMO has ended. sprint's internet
speeds where much better locally. 5 bars of signal everywhere I went. and now there cheaper then
TMO. and with the new htc evo coming out, I think its a no brainer.

When I lived in the southeast AT&T had excellent customer service and decent data...but shaky cellular service.
In the rocky mountain region it's the opposite. Phone service is good, but data service and even worse customer support.

Provided service has been great... customer service... yea. Apparently, it's my privilege to be a customer.

verizon has been good to me and you cant beat that coverage. Only problem is phone selection and applications for phones

Verizon has MUCH better phone selection than AT&T by FAR! We have the iPhone and....thats about it, they are getting everything else it seems.

I just ditched AT&T and moved to T-mobile. Managed to get an HTC HD2 for $45 through a combination of subsidized pricing and some deals. I have been much more satisfied with my T-mobile subscription. No delayed or lost SMS, no random calls not appearing and going direct to voice mail, no delayed voicemail, etc. I had AT&T for about 8 years and they went down hill FAST after the iPhone came out.
