Surprised that nobody has posted a thread on this game yet. It released on Steam a couple days ago and is 25% off for the first week (it costs $7.49 right now).

It's like Audiosurf in that the gameplay is procedurally generated through your music, but Beat Hazard is much, much more action-packed -- the graphics are really crazy. The core gameplay is similar to Asteroids, but there also boss bottles, power-ups, and different types of enemies. It's a lot of fun and, for $7.49, it's totally worth it.

I've played for 7 hours or so... Just need the 100 tracks / 10 hour achievement. Game's really fun... one of those easy to learn / hard to master games. Through the Fire and Flames on hardcore was intense! Insane mode is ... really insane.

It seems cool. Bought it on sale. Has anyone been able to figure out how it can see mounted networked drives? I gave my network drives (SAMBA shares from a NAS) a drive letter, but for whatever reason I can't browse to them and that's were I keep my music collection.

Thanks for the heads up. Just bought this and spent 2 1/2 hours playing. Really gets frantic when playing some Gojira.

Great game, well worth the money. You'd figure the loud busy songs would be the tough ones, but it's those songs with long quiet songs that are hardest. Enemies just dogpile until you've got a good beat going to charge your weapons >.<

Awesome game. At first I totally sucked and thought I wasted $8. But once I found my controller I am now awesome at it. :D

I played the demo and felt i had enough... it is exhilirating tho
