Post your impressions of the SINGLE PLAYER campaign only, it'd be nice if you guys supplied some pros and cons, and likes and dislikes.
So far here's mine
Guys, I"m loving the single player, I'm on the 4th level now, Dionysus Park, it's a fucking BLAST, the level design seems more crisp than the first game, but it also seems a little bigger too, but it's hard to get lost because they always point you in the right direction which I like.
Also the story is fucking GREAT, so far, i think this might top the original in terms of story, i think the pacing of action is good, and the aiming is much better than the first game, I have no problems aiming in this game, whereas in the first game, it felt like aiming was a tad more difficult. The only gun that's difficult to aim is the spear gun which has a reticule the same size as the pistol in the original Bioshock, but that's balanced by the fact you can zoom in. The Plasmids are mostly the same, but they allow you to use a lot more gene tonics.
The Big Daddy and Big Sister fights are fun, so are the "boss fights" in the game, where you're basically fighting more powerful Splicers who happen to be storyline characters. You can make choices in this game and it will affect the story and ending i'd imagine.
Be good to the little sisters and they will reward you, harvest them, I have no idea what happens since I haven't chosen that path.
I like the overall atmosphere, this game, I feel was done right, single player wise, I have yet to play the multiplayer, I'm gonna pass on multiplayer untill the single player is beaten.
Also, the key point here is, the addition of allowing you to use a weapon and plasmid at the same time is a HUGE improvement. You guys all know it is, I remember in the original hating how I had to switch back and forth, it felt like it interrupted the action a little.
I think the game has the perfect blend of action and story, and the pace of it is the strong suit of the game, there seems to be just the right amount of everything, ammo, enemies, boss fights, story sequences, tidbits. and whatnot. It's very very fluid.
I can't really think of any serious cons, I do find it a little strange how you have to find a certain corpse to harvest Adam from, but I wonder if that will be explained somewhere in the story.
