Engadget found a FCC filing that shows a Nexus One label that apparently supports 3G on AT&T’s network in the US. If it’s true, maybe the patience you showed just after it launched shall be rewarded, grasshoppa.

If you look into the RF reports a bit, you'll immediately notice that the new handset supports 3G on WCDMA Bands I, II, and V, meaning that it'll work on AT&T (and Rogers, Bell, and Telus for the Canadians in the room) along with most of Europe. Same label style, nearly identical model ID, different bands -- we think we know what's going on here.

bring DA phone to Canada !!!!!!!!! i promise i will be first to buy it :D

God damn it.

My choice between an AT&T Tilt 2 (my current carrier) or hopping over to Verizon for a Droid just got a lot more complicated.

My line has an upgrade option right and I was thinking of getting an iPhone, but will wait to see if this turns out to be true. I know that AT&T's website says Android phones coming soon.

I can help you with that decision: move to Verizon and get a Droid Eris, which even is better than the Droid.

My wife and I finally moved off of garbage AT&T, generally bad reception and equally as bad customer service. Over two years with them was enough. Even tried an iPhone with them, which only made things worse, in terms of it's poor reception, among other things.

So we moved to Verizon and went with a Droid Eris. Not only is it truly the more intuitive, fastest and customizable phone, but Verizon's reception is second-to-none, truly.

There are dead zones here in Arizona where there should be signals and AT&T fails completely. We finally get reception in our own townhome, which we didn't with AT&T; only enough to send text messages, but could not really make calls, unless went upstairs and stood in a specific spot, and even then.

We now even get reception in areas where there's generally none, and where we should, it's not even a question. Even checking email, and even browsing the web is extremely fast. Customer service is excellent, even better than we remembered from when we had Verizon years back.

Verizon + Droid Eris = addiction phone fun, and phone that actually ****ing works in all ways, including making damn calls!

The Droid Eris itself is far more solid, intuitive, useful, convenient, responsive and generally customizable than the iPhone, period. Extremely fast OS and regular updates when needed. The iPhone felt more like a damn novelty more than anything.

Can you tell we're impressed with the phone and service yet? Ha ha ;).

Hope that helps your decision.

AT&T can go get shot in a dark alley somewhere.
