Coke Launches Face Matching App

did anyone lol when it took the girl's face and matched hers for a guys?

or does it only do that and doesn't do same gender?

This things doesn't work really well. I'm of Oriental decent and my first match was an African American and my 2nd try was a Caucasian.

I don't think it cares about ethnicity just the structure of your face. Even from the pic it shows a girl and a guy....

HAHA!

Buncha clones you all are.

It cannot find a match for me......

Facial Profiler couldn't find a decent match of your face. This could be due to image quality, database size or the fact that you're one-of-a-kind.

Tried 4 good pictures manually. Best match I got was 59%. None really looked like me.

I submitted my Photos over to them a month or so ago, glad to see they finished it.

yeah doesnt do anything for me either loads and just sits there.

people with problems, are you running the flash 10.1 beta?

dare someone to upload a butt picture and see if anyone is a match (gives a new meaning to your face looking like a butt.) :D.

Yeah, I imagine the reason many people aren't getting matches would be that since it is a new app its database of images to match with is really limited. But as it stores those images it will send you a message should someone else later on match you.

Tried two different images and only got one to match at 55%... and it was with a girl haha. I think we have similar smiles but that was about it.

Maybe some of you are not getting the match you want because you over estimate how good looking you really are? Hehe.

p.s. Why would I be interested in a girl that looks the same as me anyway? I'm not and prefer adversity.

A clever way for the coca cola corporation (that I eagerly support several times a week, I might add), to tap into the valuable data sets from peoples accounts.

It would be more fun and useful if they matched people with other animals, like those sad ladies whose faces look exactly like their little dogs they carry around.

I'm pretty sure this stuff was developed by a grad student at the research building I work at. I vaguely remember scoffing at the idea that Coca-Cola was licensing facial recognition algorithms a while ago. Yay for university research reaching mainstream applications!
