I am wanting to use the rear pair of speakers from my logitech X-530 w/ a LCD monitor as a replacement for the built in speakers. The speks of the speakers are
"Rear left/right: 7.4 watts RMS x 2 (into 4 ohms, @ 1 kHz, @ 10% THD)"(There us a single 33µf Cap inside the speaker housing)
Did a little looking and found Pyle Home PTA1 Mini 2 x 15-Watt Stereo Power Amplifier.
Will this work hooked into either a headphone out or RCA out connector? is there something better I can use that costs less? I tried a Fiio E3 headphone amp but it the result was ugly.

That Pyle unit probably produces 15W at 20VDC... which you will NEVER ACCOMPLISH! ;)

Just a little joke there, I remember junky Pyle car audio stuff that would be like 1600WATTS MAXXXXXXXXXXXXX at 100%THD.

If you look at the specs, it's 2x3W @ 1% THD. Awesome!

LOL 100% THD. Marketing genius! 100% is best!

Hmmmm, been thinking that it would be easiest to just get a 2.1 computer speaker set up and use a RCA adapter. I can get the X-230 speakers for less than $50 which is about the same as what I am useing now on my computer.
Thanks for the help!

Wowwwwwwwwww, I thought maybe if they were still around they were actually making decent products now; I guess they stay afloat selling stuff at flea markets and weekend tradeshow sales but I guess if your product is THAT bad then you're probably using super cheap components and can afford to sell for nothing.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Why in the world you thought about spending $50 on that Pyle amp I don't know?:p
