Why is it a crapshoot if Vista will install a "Start-Programs" group and/or a deskstop shortcut? I end up having to search through explorer to find my game EXEs and make my own shortcuts. Some games do it fine, but most seem to not. WTF?

Just installed a game that SPECIFICALLY asked if I wanted a program group and desktop shortcut. Said yes, AND STILL NO group or shortcut. This is ridiculous! Is Vista a POC or what?

So you're blaming a poorly written installer on the OS?

It's not up to Vista, it's up to the game developer to include that functionality. Please stop trying to blame Vista. Some companies don't install All Program menu anymore.
