Aion - One Month Later - Players Opinions?

Not sure if you know this but Ultima Online has been doing this since WAYYY BACK in the Day and I LOVE IT.. I love free shit and for being hardcore being a long term member pays out too :p

well i will be enjoying my free bag space.

yes lots of subscription based things reward you for continuing to subscribe, However they dont normally pull out the free stuff card so quick.

This just looks like NCSoft trying to bribe people to keep playing. The 2nd month of an MMORPG can make or break it, to many people cancel after the free month is up and the game tanks. This just makes it look like a money grab
 
Everquest 2 after a bit, brought in veteran rewards, same with everquest, and some of them were quite nice, others were junk, and some others seemed designed to overcome newbie limitations. (like free bags you can claim on any character)
 
I'll be playing aion next month with or without the rewards! But I WELCOME the rewards, esp free bag space. 8==========D
 
Actually EQ2 has voice chat...Not great but gets the job done. They are doing the halloween events atm. (mostly house items and illusions for the most part but it's fun)
Headless horseman epic mob is a nice touch and fun to kill... :)

As for Aion, asain mmo's for the most part never got me interested even tho alot are really good looking.

change EQ2 with WoW in that description and you have what WoW is doing for haloween

Thanks for showing us a made of characters. What makes you think we would enjoy seeing that? Oh, that's right, I doubt you care about how annoying that you might be to others. Next I suppose you'll use the words epic and fail a half-million times, along with a few burps into your Vent channel.

Yeah its pretty grindy right now for me as a gladiator (lvl 41) I need to do xenophon so I can get that epic dagger to dual wield solo grind!
 
I am keeping my eq2 subs on hold for a while playing aion still. I like the game and it has plenty of quests and things to do to level without grinding so far. I am only a 31 chanter so far, but love the class. I want to see the end game content as well, I mean besides the giant pvp battles, which I have already been part of a few of those. I will keep playing this unless the end game is bad. I mean eq2 has like 30+ end game single group instances and like 12 or more raid instances, so aion has alot to live up to for me...

its also why almost everyone plays wow and keeps going back to it.
