FakeFactory Conematics Mod 10 is out - anyone have a decent download source?

So, I see that FakeFactory's Cinematics Mod v10 came out just a couple weeks ago. Trying to find a decent download link for it, though, has been a little challenging. The official download site has a series of 50 RapidShare links. That would be painful, but doable, if not for the 2.5 minute wait and 5 minute download window for each file (unless you buy their premium account). There is a torrent available as well (Author is fine with the torrent but won't officially guarantee it - no copyright infringement here), but when I tried it, it was going at a speedy 9k/s and said it would take about a month to finish. Has anyone else downloaded this from somewhere yet? Found a better source? Other ideas?

I'm using that same torrent right now and getting over 100 kb/s down and putting over 200 up.

This was fine in the beginning, in fact it was amazing, but he turned alyx and everyone else into trailer trash about version 5 or so. Tons of makeup, ridiculous body shapes, etc

9.6 gigz...holy hell! I'm glad I don't have to d/l this as I don't have HL2, nor have I ever played it. lol
Looks really well done though. It makes the original look generic as hell, very bland.

Yeah, I stuck with the torrent anyways, cause I didn't want to have to deal with all the individual downloads. It has picked up some for me as well. When I first connected to the torrent, though, there were only 5 seeds and about 30 - 40 leechers. Looks like it's turning the bend finally (torrent is already over a week old).

I thought I read somewhere that you could pick between several different Alyx models. Anyone else recall reading anything like that?

Yes, you use the Character Pimper that is included to do this.

I used that same torrent about 2 weeks ago and had it done in about a day.

I used multiple trackers for the same file though,
I think I went on TPB and ISOHunt.

Awesome mod btw.

I've played this game way too many times( probably 6+). Its fun running around with god mode and all weapons and unlimited everything now. Makes it a relaxed fun run through experience.

I forgot how creepy EP1 was though. haha.

If you use newsgroups you can find it under Alt.Binaries.Games. Someone uploaded the Beta 1 bundled with the upgrade package. I dl'ed it, scanned for virus - none found.

done that way it is around 12Gb in size, but can dl as fast as your connection allows.

I still want to know if anybody's ever shown this to Adriana Lima. (Semi-seriously: this probably wouldn't be good if you've never finished HL2, would it?)

The FF mods are pretty awesome, but thank baby jeebus that you can opt out of the new Alyx. HD texture and enhanced visuals are much appreciated, but making the tomboyish (and adorable) heroine into a 13-year old's masturbatory fantasy is just vaguely creepy. Creepy and ultimately inferior.
