New Alienware m15x

Dunno if anyone noticed but alienware did renew on the m15x, refreshed with a core i7!
 
yeah it looks nice, seems like the full Dell takeover is paying off so far.
 
Imagine the battery life on that thing, plus alienware does take a while to ship
 
I am going to put the battery life at 10 minutes.. No but really I will say about 1.5 hours, for some reason I just don't like the styling of the new Alienware notebooks, I really did like the old m17x and m15x. The Ripley design was quite sleek IMO.
 
Still prefer the Clevo W860CU. Most people say 280 isnt that greater than 260, but i find it not true.
 
I miss the old styling. The old m15x had that awesome smart bay. Seemed on this one, they put the emphasis too much on styling and not on features. They also increased the thickness by half an inch...
 
I think I'm gonna wait for a laptop with a 5800 series GPU in it. The superior idle power consumption is really needed
 
It seems 50/50 on whether you like the looks or not. I just didnt want another bland looking laptop. I also hate the shiny piano black of most lappys out there. I admit its not the most powerful thing in the world but it'll definitely do what I need it to do. It will mostly be used for web dev, ps and a game here and there. The price of the thing is spot on. If I went M17x I would have ended up almost a grand over... which I'm sure some dedicated gamer would be okay with, but i couldnt swallow it.
