So the last time I went through the process of going to a RAID0 array, it was when I had to reinstall my OS anyways. Right now, I've got a single drive with my OS on it. I've also got two empty and formatted drive ready to be put into RAID 0. I'm wondering if its possible to migrate my current OS onto the RAID array with minimal effort.
Here's what I'd like to be able to do:
*Create the RAID 0 array
*Copy the entire single disk onto the array using Paragon
*Resize the RAID 0 array with partitions for better organization (i.e. 200GB on an OS partition, the rest as a media partition).
Will this plan allow for booting from the RAID 0 array? Or will the creation of a bootable RAID 0 array require installation of drivers first?
What I would prefer NOT doing:
*Create a backup of the full OS via Vista Ultimate's backup program
*Create RAID0 array
*Boot into Vista Restore and restore the OS
What I would REALLY not prefer doing:
*Create a bootable RAID0 array
*Re-install Windows and lose all configuration settings.
