I just wanna know, the manuals aren't very clear whether the whole keyboard lights up or JUST the WASD keys. On the Razer Lycosa you can choose either or, but they're a little ambiguous on this one. I would bet that only the WASD cluster is illuminated, but someone who owns one please correct me.

Good keyboard. Good deal.

Good deal. I would like to know about the lights too since I'm interested in a Lycosa but too cheap to pay the $60+ price.

Plus, it's not a refurb!

Well it for sure lights up your main gaming keys - WASD. I own a Lycosa and it is just about the best friggin keyboard I've ever had. The keys are so nice and it types and games extremely well. Mines had lots of abuse - heavy gaming, video editing, and food crumbs too, but it's still working like a pro.

Don't promise that.

I own the black lycosa and those keys don't light up.

used coupon code SV2130 and got the keyboard and the gaming surface for $45.72 and 6% back from fatwallet!!

I had the Razer Lycosa and the backlight on the keys (in the regular backlight mode) is VERY dim. With the backlight off, the letters on the keys are impossible to read. IMO the quality of the keyboard is not very impressive either. I was pretty disappointed with it, especially for the price they were charging for it when it was released: $80.

Wow, bummer. I love my Lycosa, and the backlighting is PERFECT for me. Most are two bright, and have annoying spots that are brighter than others, or gaps where an extra does of brightness will leak through. This keyboard has the most even backlighting I've ever seen. I prefer it to Logitech's backlighting on the G11 and other models. But it's all subjective!

Thanks OP, in for one. I've been looking for a cheapish scissor-switch keyboard with macro functionality...

This keyboard does work with Razer's software... right??

I'll promise whatever I want ... sheesh. It says right on the manual that the WASD keys are backlit. So I know that for SURE. We're just unsure if the rest of the keys do. I saw a couple of people on SD that said that they all light up, but I'm still unsure.

I own a Lycossa, got it for 80+ at launch, great keyboard imo. At least in my model, the WASD keys light up, or you can set for the whole keyboard to light up on bright, or whole keyboard on dim. Theres 3 lighting settings.

Dunno what people are saying about not being bright enough, (did you have it on dim?) but I can see it fine. I owned a Saitek Eclipse prior to it, and the lightning is comparable. And this HP one, doesn't have the glossy finish, which is a plus actually, because theres less finger prints. Honestly, If I didn't have the Lycossa, I would pick it up.

It looks like that discount puts you under the requisite for free shipping so if you can find something for $8 bucks to add you technically only paying $2.75 for it.

I missed the part where I responded to you like a douchebag, but whatever dude.

I can't use WASD, I use QWES... broke my index finger and started playing with QWE instead of AWD, and got used to it :p

I loved my Lycosa when it was dark; hated it during the day. I had a very difficult time seeing the letters on the keys in daylight. I'm not a touch typist, so I've gotta be able to see the keys. Ended up returning it. Downer, 'cuz I really liked its rubberized keys, too.

Just FYI.

"It has white LEDs that are brighter than the blue LEDs that Razer's keyboard has. It has three light levels - all keys, WASD and none."

That makes this hot as fire (unless they're OOS.)
