Yeah, so I desperately DESPERATELY need a download for a 56k modem. The modem in my desktop is fried, so I have this FUCKING OLD modem from 2004 or some shit that I have to use instead. Right now I'm on my old laptop that doesn't really work for shit.

Anyway, nothing I've found works so far, and everything that looks like a promising download has been... effective at downloading (soft32.com and bioticaindia, intel and dell.com don't have shit that's useful)

Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm using Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

Seriously. if the OP would post his OS i could probably find that driver for him. Seriously, that was half of my job sometimes at my old job, just finding obscure drivers for obscure shit. Some of that shit was damn fucking old.

That said I prefer external serial modems. I have one hooked up to my desktop just to send faxes and vista has the driver for it :D US Robotics Courier modem.

USR external modems FTMFW I've got a box full of them in my shed, just in case :D

unfortunately I no longer even have a phone line, just a dry line for my adsl connection and a blackberry o_O

I know this is really old, but I just wanted to post a reply in case anyone is still looking for this driver. I spent hours searching the net and finally found a link buried in the google search results that linked to a driver on Dell's site. The name of the driver is R133743 so just google that or you can get it here: http://support.dell.com/support/dow...dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&fileid=178142

Hope this helps someone!
Mike

P.S. That is for Windows XP, not sure about the newer OS's.

How much 5 year old hardware are you running in your main system?
I have 2 hard drives that are 5 years old, up until a week ago my main rig was 5 years old.

edit: oh wow I didn't even see how old this thread was, probably shouldn't have replied.
