Dell 2407WFP rev. A04

Hello everybody!

I've been trying to find a decent non-tn 24" or 22" inch monitor for a while to use it primarely for webdesign graphic and coding, maybe some movies etc. I was going to buy the Dell 2209WA but it is imposible to get one here (Romania), I called all the major stores and they don't have it.

I managed to find a 2407WFP rev A04, second hand, in perfect shape, no dead pixels. Is this revision problem-free? Also, will this monitor be suitable for what I'm doing? Other options in the 24" area are 2408WFP and HP LP2475w, which are both wide gamut and very expensive here (around $820), so they're off the list.

The 2407WFP rev A04 is considered to be one of the best LCD monitor ever been manufactured by Dell. No dark ghosting (2407-HC), relatively low input lag vs 2408, supports 1:1 aspect ratio & no color banding (2407 A03 and lower). The only downside is no HDMI input and, for some, no wide color gamut.

thanks for the reply. I also managed to find an HP LP2465, new, for the same price. Which one is better between these two? I don't mind the lack of connectivity of the HP, I will only use it via the DVI port.

I would go with HP. It is new, well built, features 2 DVI input and looks pretty sharp.
BTW, the HP LP2465 and the Dell 2407 share the same S-PVA panel so the image quality should be pretty similar.
