Video Game Quote Of The Day

You know ever since I have done the Homebrew thing on the Wii it has got more playtime then the 360 has in the last month. I think part of it has to do with UNO and Yahtzee as well as ROMS!

I just don't get all the hate for the Wii. It's a fun system unless you're a graphics whore. Of course if you base your opinion of a game solely on its presentation I think your gamer card needs to be revoked. In my opinion a true gamer never limits him/herself to a single system because you know that all platforms have some great games that are worth experiencing.

Not to mention the Wii is a system modders dream come true these days. I've backed up my games on an external hard drive and don't have to even touch a disc in my collection anymore unless I want to install it on the drive. The homebrew scene on the Wii beats most others.

Yes, I can honestly say I love my Wii. And my PC. And My PS3. And my X360. And my XBOX... And my Saturn... And my DS... and... well you get the idea. :D

What's the last game that really impressed you?
Sid Meier's Civilization.

You play everything including real-time strategy?
Buddy, I'm a gamer. Not just the fake ones you read about.
That's not a bad quote either. I see nothing wrong with the Wii as long as you have a real gaming machine, and that would be a PC.

So you just back up your games on an external hard drive without touching the discs?...right please tell me you own all those games you backed up?

I have a Wii. It is great for family gaming. It's a great little console for simple games that are easy to play and are still entertaining. For everything else there's the PC. I just can't get into hardcore gaming on a TV. The only reason I would get an XBox360 woud be as a Media Center extender. I wouldn't even buy a PS3 as a Blu-Ray player.

Yep, I sure do. Not all of us into homebrew are pirates.

As opposed to my original hacked Xbox that has all of my games backed up onto an internal hard drive and can upscale video to 1080i? :p

i agree, watching the wife do wii fit makes it totally worth it. Making fun of in laws by making mii's also makes it totally worth it. My 4 yr old girl likes bowling and tennis.

Im a hardcore PC gaming nerd, my last console to this was a sega cd for craps sake, but I do enjoy the new punchout and madworld when im sick of my computer chair.

The wii is more of a recreational party machine than it is a gaming machine for me.

Yeah, I have my original XBOX modded too. The Wii is similar. There is also software now to play DVDs on the Wii if you're so inclined. For me video playback on consoles hasn't been a big deal. That's what HTPCs are for. :p

I know every theme song to every Super Mario game you can ever think of and I'll sing them to myself. I'll be in the shower and I'm not singing Bryan McKnight or Neil Diamond, I'm singing Mario Bros. songs: dee..dee.dee.dee.dee...deet.

Oh fuck! I found my twin.

Well it is over simplified but it holds some truth.

To put it more accurately (if your more most best console is the Wii)

That being said intelegent gamers judge the games above all else. As long as Nintendo keeps releasing Fire Emblem I will keep buying their consoles regardless of how craptastic they are because the Srpg experience that is provided by Fire emblem isn't provided anywhere else.

We got a Wii 18 months ago... the kids named it the "ner"

Figure it out and enjoy the laugh. The Wii gathers dust.

lebouf was better when he was doing old stuff like Even Stevens but I still have to agree with him here. The Wii is pretty much for girls and poor people.

I don't have a Wii. I want one though, just to play all the old games and whenever we have family get-togethers, the kids will have something to play and be entertained by, so my dad doesn't have to put on his whole Disney library everytime. I don't even care about the new games for Wii outside maybe the Nintendo exclusives and maybe select Wii versions of certain games that use the Wiimote/nunchucks.

The Wii is great for first party Nintendo games (Mario/Metroid/Zelda) and as a jukebox for old console games. That's not a bad thing, but its not nearly close enough to make it my main machine either.

That reminds me, I really need to finish Punch Out at some point. I'm so used to not using it that I let it slide even when I have actually have a great game to play!

All of this Wii hate is completely disgusting and biased. Truly hardcore gamers located and purchased a Wii at launch...

... and promptly sold it for money to buy its competitors. :D

I now have some respect for Sheia Lebeef. I laughed at all the Wii fanboys defending their console, lol. It can't play games on par with a PC or other consoles, that makes it sub-par, regardless of what 5 years olds and grandparents think.

I really tried to like the wii, i mean really tried...but...it's the gamecube again, once every 8 months or so i get my hands on a wii title i want to play. The rest is just stuff that i can rent when friends are over or throw in once in a great great while for like a half an hour.

Like others have said here, if it wasn't for the virtual console i would have sold it by now.

the comments on that article are priceless. the wii fanboys are some of the best reads.... ps3 and xbox fanboys have nothing on them.
